Great bar and restaurant across the road from the harbour. So easy to find staff helpful and eager to help with finding the right drink for you with samples .food great and cooked super quick .Will make it my local if I was local

Went to Jimmy's on Friday night mothers day weekend. The experience with the service was great as well as the food. I got a burger (The portabella mushroom one) and we also got the fish tacos. Everything tasted fresh and the seating was great. Would definitely come back.

Jimmy's Famous American Tavern was a great place to stop for dinner. The fish and chips hit the spot, and Dana Point Harbor can be seen of in the distance, if you are at the right table. There is also a kids meal. The amount of fries was substantial, but good eating none the less. Our server was also very friendly and helpful.

Lovely place, conveniently located close to Dana Point Pier, great ambience, cordial staff, reasonably priced food, ample portions. The charred Brussels sprouts were delicious. The tavern bowl is wholesome and delicious. They even brought out a ice-cream and cookie to celebrate a birthday!

JFAT is a nice sit down place, full bar, and has great ambiance.
Yes, they have a section of the restaurant that can be made relatively private by moving sliding walls into place. I don't think this would create a room, however, but it does separate the group from the rest of the restaurant.
