The staff is attentive and professional, the facility is clean and comfortable, and there was no undue delay between check in, prep, and being taken into the procedure room. Dr. Ponec and the anesthesiologist are personable, and both met with me before the procedure and made sure all my questions were answered. I had very positive experience and recommend Salem Gastro.

Really good visit. She listened, took her time to explain things. Heard me when I spoke, reassured me where I needed it. Professional, present, as in 'in the moment.'. Gave what I felt was the appropriate evaluation. Put in the referral to the physical therapist. Calmed my concerns re: the colonoscopy. I thought she was very personable. Good manner. The appointment was spot on time. The receptionist was also very personable. It was a very good experience. Thank you.

Had an appointment online at 10 and logged in a couple minutes early, around 10:05 I called just to double check my appointment was still on (although I had gotten email and text confirmation) they told me to give the doctor 10 minutes maybe they’re finishing up , I’m like ok that’s understandable. After 10:15 I call again they tell me the same thing, I told them “ If I was 15minutes late you would cancel/reschedule me… but I’m supposed to continue waiting, for how long?” I asked if I reschedule can I actually get helped this time and on time, all I got was “I can’t guarantee anything some appointments take longer” I understand that, but you literally have me waiting for 20minutes . If they’re a couple minutes late that’s fine , but to wait that long and just being told to wait is annoying especially when I really needed this appointment. No apology, no “let me see if they doc is almost done.” I am definitely checking other places.

Nurses are not friendly. Spoke with one on the phone recently in regards to my medication and was spoken to with nothing but attitude and she was not polite. Not to mention the wait times to hear back from them for anything are longer than they should be. Once I was contacted they couldn’t even call the right number that was already on file. Overall terrible service for patients. I see why they are not even rated 3 stars. And bonus tip if you’re in pain and need treatment ASAP. Don’t count on them attending to you right away. They’re located in a HOSPITAL and have the audacity to be closed on weekends.
