Stove top didn't work, shower faucet busted, towel rack half pulled from wall, filthy carpet, bed linens still full of soap from the washer... I could go on. You really don't want to stay here if you have indoor allergies because everything stinks, and employees and customers smoke right outside the front door. What a pit

The service at this hotel is great and it's right off several major roads that will get you to most places in Columbia in about 10 minutes. My biggest complaint is that there is nowhere to put garbage so everyone dumps it next to undersized cans in the hallway. This in of itself isn't a big deal (seeing a stack of trash right outside your room isn't great though) but it attracted fruit flies which then got into our room. Every time we ate food in our room, there were fruit flies buzzing around and that was *really* off-putting. Given that they only clean your room once every 5 days (i.e. empty your trash) and lots of people get carry-out, I have no idea what the hotel's plan is/was to deal with guest trash. I brought the garbage/flies up to the front desk and they commented they really hated having the trash cans in the hallways... if those weren't there, what are guests supposed to do?!? The other minor gripe is the free evening social was reduced from 4 nights/week to once a week. The hotel claims it's because of COVID (you'd never guess there were COVID concerns walking around the hotel) but it's clearly just a case of skimpflation.

Good hotel, not much that I can say. Stayed for 6 nights. The room was clean and it wasn't too loud. The only things that I could hear from my room was little kids screaming outside and basketball dribbles (there was a small basketball court). The breakfast was a bit repetitive, but it is free with your stay so I can't complain. The workers there took my brother's basketball even though he said it was his. Half the employees are good for nothing. This orginally was going to be a 4-5 star review, but it is a 3 π€¨

My husband and I recently drove up from South East Florida. This trip we decided to do in three days instead of two. Our final destination being the east end of Long Island. We really werenβt sure where to make our second stop. If you should find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend Homewood Suites by Hilton in Columbia, Maryland. We always stay at Hilton properties when we made this drive. However Homewood Suites is our favorite out of all the Hilton properties at which we have stayed. If youβre looking for a comfortable bed, a clean large suite, 24 hour coffee and a complementary breakfast then this may be the place for you. I also love the fact that their linens are white. The room was immaculate. It was everything we were looking for in an overnight stay, but could easily accommodate a much longer stay.

The bus is not right by the hotel...you have a good little walk to get to it.
No shuttle. Free parking though...
The housekeepers here are SUPER GHETTO. I'M TALKING HOLLERING DOWN THE HALL TO ONE ANOTHER AT 9 AM KNOCKING BEFORE CHECK OUT TIME. ALSO, THE LADY NEXT DOOR TO ME HAD BED BUGS. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!
