After being stuck in Atlanta airport for 2 days I finally caught a flight into Louisville Ky. My daughter in law rescued me there and I was so hungry we decided to stop after leaving the city. Oh my goodness it was so good! We were seated by a young man who then took our order and was very patient with my grandchildren who were trying to order for themselves. Once we placed our order we enjoyed the triangle puzzle on the table that has always held a spot in my heart as that was how I entertained myself years ago. The food came and smelled so delicious. I had ordered as one of my sides, mac and cheese. Oh my! It was so yummy. I even stole some of my granddaughters portion. Of course after our meal it was time for shopping. My grandbabies are 5 and 4 and there were plenty of things to catch their eye. After an inner struggle of which one toy they couldn't live without they finally decided. Makeup and dinosaurs. The rocking chairs on the front porch had to be tested by each child before loading up and heading home. Cracker barrel has always be associated with family gatherings and good food. Food like your mom or grandma use to make. With our bellies full and my wallet a little lighter we happily started for home. Thank you so much for the warm happy feeling you give us each time we come.

Oh my. Where to begin… The wait wasn’t too bad about 15 minutes. We sat for about 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order.. then we all ordered our food and well 1 hour and 15 minutes later we got our food. Now if the waiter would have just come by and told us that it would be a while or the kitchen was backed up.. but no he was missing for 30 minutes or more. Finally a friend from our table had to go in the kitchen and ask about our food. The food was good once we got it but we really didn’t care anymore. We had 2 of our grandchildren with us also. Luckily they were very patient.

Wife and I stopped for late breakfast. I got the sunrise sampler, she got the pancake breakfast. With 2 drinks it came out to $28 plus tip. Food was great. Service was poor last time, but much better today, could have been due to how slow they were though. My main negative is that the biscuits were hard enough to break a window with. They need to replace then with fresh ones when they get that hard. Otherwise, everything was great and tasted very fresh!

Right off Hwy 64. I stopped for lunch and the restaurant was busy, but not crowded. Staff was friendly. Hostess brought us over to a dirty table and we had to stand in the aisle while we watched her clean and sanitize it. Although, it wasn't a great impression, we were happy to see it was cleaned well. I ordered the grilled trout, mashed potatoes, and country beans. After a 45 minute wait, the fish finally swam to my table. The trout and country beans were excellent. The mashed potatoes were good, but I won't rave about them. Overall, it was a good lunch, but the 45 minute wait for the food was a little long.
