Security guard at information booth was not knowledgeable. Only referred to kiosk. I needed 2 forms.... Had to wait an hoir to see a specialist, who was helpful. I was not prepared for an appointment visit. Hubby is a Divorcee. I am not.

I called this office and the woman who answered the phone was incredibly and unhelpful. Also important to note that the information they have listed on their website about needing to make an appointment is incorrect. This is a government agency and they should update this ASAP.

My sister passed away in April 2019. Apparently I am due a refund of her last payment. Approaching ten months, have called twice. Every time, the response is the same. Give us another month or two. Also have had three employees tell me that "it is a not a priority to refund money to beneficiaries/executors." But it sure was a priority to pull the money out of her account which was done within a week of her passing and two months prior to the issuance of a death certificate.

Mr. Alvarez, Mrs. Taveras, Mr. Carrillo, and Mrs. Castillo are very nice! I spoke with them several times on the phone and each time, they were patient and understanding. I am in a dire circumstance (stage 4 cancer with a physical disability as a result of major surgery); my son has a mental disability. They have helped us get the help we need!

Better to go to the Social security web site and get the correct answer. Each case is different and this is information from people who have visited the office, not SS personel.
I am so sorry for your loss. Please understand, you are not speaking to SS directly. Remove your sons info from public forum. We are people who, while visiting any said location, offer reviews to help others. Go to SS office to report immediately.
No, you can walk in and get a number that will be called, then tell person at window or you could do it online.
Do not tell anyone on the phone your Social number. SS sends letters and they already have their number. Report the number of the call to SS. Lick the credit companies and put an alert in your accounts.
You need to contact the office now. You should have received it by now. Go to Lawerence go dollar/America's food basket plaza. Go to Santander bank in plaza. Look across street, you will see brick buildings. Go into those buildings and go to second floor. Follow signs. Check in at kiosk and wait for your assigned number to be called
