Beautiful place to hike but the trail is grass and the grass is not cut regularly. Because of this, I found ticks on both me and my dogs when I got home. So if you do hike here, make sure to check for hitchhikers before you get home. It's also pretty muddy.

what an amazing trail. Great to see the old way the railroad used to travel between hillsboro and Litchfield. Update. We took the trail starting at Brehmer sanctuary in hillsboro. There is more parking at Hillsboro. The trail is sorta mowed. I thing the grass can get tall. It is flat the entire length. It is also shadded the entire length. It took us 2 hours to walk the entire length and back. Note to bike riders there were several trees fallen across the path.
