I bought an external hard drive from Adaptive Computers so that I would have a save place to save my files if something were to happen to my computer. The Toshiba 1 TB backup was reasonably priced and it has worked very well for two years. Recently, however, I could not find the backed up file on my external hard drive. It seemed like the device was trying to store my backup on the cloud or on Dropbox. I called Ross, and he patiently walked me through a better understanding of how my backup device works. I am now carrying out his helpful suggestions (with my limited computer skills) . Will White

I would be doomed without Ross and all his help! This man has the patience of a SAINT! We will be traveling for a undetermined length of time and I needed help downloading a ton of stuff to a new computer, new operating system (including all my bookkeeping) and also make sure it was all secure. Ross spent so much time helping me, creating cheat sheets, explaining everything to my 60 year old brain! All I can say is THANK YOU, you are awesome. BTW, Ross has also helped me out several other times when I've been hacked, and got my system up and running in no time at all! Don't ever retire! Thanks so much again, Nina

Computer came super clean! all of my keys were in tact. Only $159.95 for a tune up, and it runs smooth like butter. My Macbook Pro has never run smoother.

I have been using Ross at Adaptive Computers to keep my lap top working for 10 or 12 years. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. He explains things so I can understand. I call him my Computer Specialist. Best Doctor in the gorge. He has had to do it all; De-bug, update, protect; you name it he does it. And he always has a very fair price for his wonderful work.

I have a 2019 Dell Computer, and Windows 10 OS. When I Copy and Paste downloaded photos to a New Folder on the desktop, I only see Icons, not photos, unless I double click. I went to View-Options-View-Unclick Always Show Icons. Still just icons.

Hi John, It sounds like you have performed the correct operation to fix this issue. I would need to see your computer to find out why this is happening, and to correct the problem. Ross Adaptive Computers
