Friendly staff, has indoor and outdoor seating areas. The bartender recommended some items off the menu, but we only stayed for a little while, so I did not get to try any food. I really enjoyed the ambiance though. The reason for only four stars is I did not try the food.

I hadnt been in s while and I think I missed a lot . Immaculate and simple decor. Ample food and drink menu. Gianna recommended perhaps the best salmon I ever had with avocado,wild She also mushrooms and red peppers.Super fresh and a super large portion. She also recommended a wonderful summer berry cake for desert. Great Forcacia .Even the salad was excellent Gianna's service was as excellent as the food. Very attentive without being overbearing besides the great recommendation s! I thought for the quality and portion size prices were quite moderate. I can hardly wait to come back!

Went for an early dinner Friday after seeing pictures of the food and thinking it looked good. We expected that the pictures may have been the “best presentation” of the meal but we received exactly what we saw online! The food was presented beautifully and we devoured it! It was delicious and we cannot wait to come back and try the other items we couldn’t decide between!

Just a little inconspicuous corner building in an old part of downtown Ottawa, Illinois yields some of the best cuisine! My wife's idea to "check out" this place called Corner 230 following some shopping in Ottawa. We planned a 4pm early dinner. Entering the restaurant, there was only one table occupied. My apprehension increased, as that would never be expected on a Saturday afternoon in Ottawa. We were greeted by a your lady server who showed us to a table in another room adjacent to the bar area. Long story short...our service and meal were both fantastic. We started off the experience with wonderfully made caprese salad. Absolutely perfect...even if the tomatoes in Illinois this time of year are usually less than ideal. I enjoyed an Italian pasta dish while my wife enjoyed one of their specialty sandwiches. And although we didn't partake, the liquor/drink selection seemed to be amazing. Don't let the lack of prominence in the community discourage you from enjoying Corner 230. Everything was wonderful. We'll make it a point to return.
