I miss some of the former employees of this location However, covid knocked a lot of people's lives into different places, that aside, They know how to do Chicken right, When I think Popeyes I visualize this Restaurant. MANAGEMENT IS AWESOME, and Staff is extremely friendly with its patrons. VERY BUSY,but boy boy boy they Hustle. Thanks Popeyes of Cicero Ave. You All are Much Appreciated.

Waited about 12 minutes in the line (two cars in front of me) at the drive thru window before someone finally took my order. The woman taking orders sounded like she hated her job. We ordered the 10 piece family meal, with two large sides (we requested Cajun fries and red beans & rice) and 5 biscuits. When I got to the window, she asked me if I wanted mild or spicy chicken, I requested mild, then she asked me to pull off to the side because they had to wait on the fries and biscuits. We ended up waiting for the fries/biscuits about 15 additional minutes (for a total of about a 30 min wait). I could tell the fries and biscuits were fresh but the wait was way too long. Also, it seemed like there was only two people working, so that could have contributed to the long wait.

The Popeye's restaurant at 5050 S Cicero Ave. on Chicago's south-westside was in a horribly dirty state at the time of my visit on the evening of December 29th. Trash & disgarded food was scattered throughout the floors & various food items littered the countertops. It was my first visit to this establishment & will certainly be my last. The staff was uncaring & arrogant. Employees routinely stepped over visible trash & discarded food scattered throughout the floors. The manager at that time noticed I was taking pictures & asked why? As I pointed out the filthy state of the restaurant he offered me "extra" chicken if i we're to stop taking photos. (What a joke!) Garbage receptacles were over-flowing, filled to the brim & had spilled over onto the floors. The place is a health hazard & has no business being in the food service business to the public.

I ordered a 6 piece chicken tender meal with fries and received an extremely over cooked meal. Chicken tenders were almost burnt and dry. I went back to Popeyes and I was given a freshly made batch! The employees were more than happy to replace my order and make it right!
