the best decision anyone can make is bringing a sweet kitty home. HART of Maine was so lovely, thank you for your kindness and all you do for these kitties.

Such a great team of dedicated folks! We adopted two kittens. We loved that kittens were cared for in foster homes before adopting. Senior cats are lovely and loved as well. Good work being done here!

My visit to HART was a thoroughly pleasant and successful experience. I brought home this handsome youngster named Prince Rilian. The staff is great and they have lots of well cared for cats clean and well maintained facility.

The people who volunteer here at thisshelter in particular are so incredibly amazing. They turn no cat away and stick to their no kill policy . They are angels they keep the place really clean and you can tell all the cats in there feel loved. It is amazing experience to go into the rooms and spend time with the cats, it really is good therapy.my cat, Colonel Gregory Grayson Sarcophagus truly saved my family as we saved him, total symbiotic relationship. Please if you're going to adopt an animal go to a shelter. And if you want to volunteer it seems like they are looking for people

Good evening Terri, Thank you for the important work that you do for the cats and kittens in Alabama. We do work with select Shelters and Rescues outside of the state of Maine. We aren't currently prepared to add another rescue outside of Maine. There are several organizations that work to transport animals outside of different states to other groups who can take them in. Perhaps one of those transport groups can assist you. Thank you again and all the best, Andy Hanna Operations Director HART of Maine, Inc
There is a surrender fee. But i am sure we would wave it depending on circumstances.
Pretty quickly
The price list is on their site, www.hartofme.org , and it varies according to the age of the cat. Right now it's $160 for kittens, under $100 for cats older than 6 months.
Various days, but usually someone is there every day till around noon from what I found out. Just specific times for adopting
Yes. HART will take the cat in. However, if the cat is not hurting you in any way, you could at least feed the cat and make an outdoor shelter for the poor thing.
People of all ages are welcome to volunteer with us. Volunteers less than 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other designated adult while working at HART. If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, please go to our website https://www.hartofme.org/volunteer for more information and to download and complete an application. Thank you!
