We loved our adoption process for Jaxie. Garrett chose the perfect dog for our lifestyle. The facility is clean and organized. We were given a crate, a bag of toys and food, a certificate for $70 of food from The Fish & Bone, and a free vet visit. She had been spayed, microchiped, and given flea and heartworm medicine. We love Jaxie so much and are giving her a life of travel and adventure.

Great staff, very knowledgeable. We weren't rushed, and allowed to spend time with our new bunny named Mango.

Everyone here has been friendly and helpful. They are so amazing and care so much for furry friends. I found a beautiful German shepherd running scared in the cold by the jet port in Jan. I picked her up and brought her in. 2 hours later they were able to reunite her with her humans. I have also brought animal donations here. Please support them! The do great work!

The staff at this shelter are incredible. I have been here dozens of times over the years (2020 obviously excluded), and it's such a treat. I adopted my sweet boy Cosmo (previously Ranger) a few years back. They do amazing work.

Yes - they have a table/cart by the front door that is especially for donations. Just be sure to check the list on their site for items that they can't accept. (In the Pet Wish List tab under Make a Gift)
Yes, she was adopted yesterday! Thank you for helping her. We also adored her! <3
Wish I could get an answer to this question.
Hi Christine! You can start the process right on our website at www.arlgp.org/volunteer
No
It depends. Some are one-year, some are three-year. It is best to check with the vet clinic who administered it. If you received it from us, feel free to give us a call at (207)854-9771.
You can give Sparks Ark a call: http://www.sparksark.com/
Call them tomorrow when they open, I'm sure they do... Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
Hi Deb, Yes, we have several insulin-dependent animals at the ARLGP. We would be happy to take donations of insulin.
Yes, we are open until 5pm today.
Yes, you can walk and play with the dogs. They always seem to have pit bulls.
Hi Caithlin, You can see all of our daily adoptable dogs at www.arlgp.org/dogs
Sorry, I don't know but I truly hope so because every pet deserves a forever home!!
You should email or call the ARLGP directly. They wont answer you here.
It always changes. But most of the time theres always a few litters of small dogs. I've never seem a teacup or anything crazy small
You can check our website at www.arlgp.org/cats! We update the site daily with new animals and as animals get adopted. We do see more kittens as it gets warmer throughout the spring and summer.
We microchip any day during our open hours for $40 per pet. Our next low-cost vaccination clinic will be in the spring. You can check our website as we get closer to April/May at arlgp.org/resources/animal-health-and-wellness/
Call the Animal control officer in the city or town that you live in. They will either set a trap or they will tell you while to all
I have been trying to figure this out... I'll check out the website.
I believe so!
You need to call the animal shelter to talk to someone/go to their website, which shows you all the dogs they have available for adoption.
Yes, absolutely! Thank you for asking!
Yes! We always accept used towels, sheets and blankets. Thank you for asking!

You best bet would be to go in and speak with one of the adoption specialists over there.
Yes, we have dogs available daily for adoption. You can view them online before coming in at arlgp.org/dogs.
It seems like the dog should really be taken to the vet. The Refuge League doesnt provide the services it will need.
11 am-6, but they might be different because of black Friday
From their website: Euthanasia is performed when it is the only alternative to end an animal’s suffering due to terminal illness, severe injury, mental deterioration, or when the animal poses a safety concern for other animals or humans. Indefinite confinement of living in a shelter environment is also not an acceptable alternative. Hospice and foster homes allow us to continue our life saving efforts and maintain our 99% live release rate. Euthanasia is never considered unless reasonable medical alternatives or behavioral modifications have been exhausted. The ARLGP is proud to partner with local veterinarians, certified trainers and animal behaviorists, along with surgical specialists to make this very important decision in the best interest of our animals, our organization and our community.
