I've had my Ani now for almost 7 years. I got her at Responsible Pet Care. I've referred many people here. It's by far the cleanest and most professional animal shelter I've ever dealt with. Thank you for all you do. Most of all thank you for allowing me to have Ani as a companion❤

This is a phenomenal animal shelter. It's located in South Paris and serves the Western Foothills. It is also a no kill shelter. We have adopted two cats from there and my wife and I are supporters. The staff is very knowledgeable about all of the animals. It is an awesome experience to adopt a pet from here.

Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills. There has never been a more loving, professional, dedicated crew of folks. Every animal that comes through this door is treated as if they are life long companions, family members by the entire staff. An environment fostered in professional care, and a dedication of selflessness that is only exceeded by the size of their hearts. We have the greatest gift having adopted 2 beautiful dogs from here, giving us years of love and joy. I would ask anyone that if they wish to adopt a pet, or simply open their heart and donate, do so with these fine folks.

I don't know. Sorry.

If you adopt a animal from here and suddenly can't take care of them or keep them for whatever reason, is there a 14 return period or what?

Yes, and they are a great advocate for their animals. My wife and I fostered a dog, but weren't able to provide the right environment for him. They used what we had learned about the dog to find a very specific opportunity for him. We adopted a different dog from RPC and can tell she was very well cared for by the shelter.

How often do you get puppies?

Brian Elliott | Aug 20, 2018
Katie Starkie | Aug 20, 2018

We have been getting them fairly frequently lately, but it all depends on what the need is. There are 2 puppies at the shelter right now (4/13/18), Elsa and Wags.

Hi I have a 3lb bag of 9 Lives that has been opened (but securely closed) for a while and the date on it is end of Feb. My cat did not want it and I had stuck it up in the cupboard. Would you use it ? I hate just throw it away.

Susan Lyons | Aug 20, 2018
Diane Allen | Aug 20, 2018

Since the sell by date is not a throwaway date, I feel they can still use it.
