was going to be in the Boothbay region for the week and wanted to have a road bike. I didn’t want to bring my road bike for the drive from Ohio to Boothbay and it has a few maintenance issues that I didn’t have time to address before leaving. I was glad that I had a bike and was able to get daily 15-25 mile road rides in every day of the week. The area of Boothbay/Edgecomb that we were in is very hilly with very little flat - it seems that when riding you’re going either up or down the entire time. The Trek Domane AL2 was capable and had a compact crank that I appreciated on the hills. It is a bit heavier than my bikes and what I’m used to riding but was very serviceable and good quality. The Claris gruppo is at Shimano’s entry level but is as good as the higher end 105 or Ultegra gruppos from 10 or so years ago. I called around for rentals and Cyclemania had the best price for a weekly rental. If I am not able to bring my own bike in the future I will rent from Cyclemania again. All personnel that I interacted with, on the phone reserving the bike and at the shop when I picked up and returned the bike, were very friendly, professional, and courteous.

It is always a pleasure to stop by the shop and hang with the Cyclemania crew. They keep the wheels turning!

I can’t believe the crew at Cyclemania got my bike completely repaired, tuned and cleaned in the same day. The customer service from them was top notch…from the call I made at 10am, the drop off and review of what was needed, to the actual pick up, all exceeded my expectations. I was embarrassed to have waited so long to bring my Specialized Roubaix in but it was a judgement free zone and I couldn’t have had a better experience. This crew is top notch and had me on the road for a nice (safe) ride after work. My bike looked and worked like new…best money I’ve spent in a while. I highly recommend Cyclemania! Update: 3/25/2022 = I had some minor issues after riding my bike since the tuneup but each time I brought it back to Cyclemania they took me right away and repaired the issue. Special shout out to Tyler who felt bad that I had to bring my bike back in not once but twice. He was kind enough to offer 1 free tune to make sure I’d come back. Outstanding customer service…I’ll continue to use Cyclemania as they stand by their work.

This place deserves more pics and more top notch reviews. From the outside, doesn’t seem like much. Once you walk in the shop you’re transported to a bike haven. They have all the equipment you will need, are so helpful, and make you feel welcomed. If not just the friendly staff, the shop dog, Fitz (Australian Shepard) will come for his pets and love as you wait. Everything about this shop makes me want to come back for more. The staff is super friendly and super knowledgeable. I went in thinking I needed a new tyre and they directed me not to the highest price item, but to the best solution to my problem. The trust built after one visit was incredible. These are cyclists that are here for cyclists and anyone interested in bikes. To me, trust is the most important and this shop is one I certainly trust. What could they do better...so many tourists in Portland area that may like to bike, so area maps could be cool. I’d love more cycle mania gear (bottles, shirts, stickers, jerseys, etc), spruce up the outside a bit, maybe include some kind of food truck or coffee truck. But honestly, this place is AWESOME! If you are a local and need a go-to place or a tourist and stopping by for a one-and-done experience, Cyclemania is THE bike to visit in Portland.

We have both new bikes, and used bikes. The used bike selection changes all the time, so check back frequently if we don't have what you're looking for

Masks are of course required, and we have hand sanitizer available and ask that you use it before touching any merchandise. Customers are currently welcome in the store, but we are also doing online/phone ordering, with curbside pickup available. If you are not comfortable coming in the store, we also have a service form that can be filled out on our website, and you can drop your bike off for service curbside!

Which Fat Bike that you have would easily accommodate the " snowshoe 2xl tire "?

All Trek Farley's now come with 27.5" x 4.5 tires, but can accommodate a 26"x 5 like the 2XL. However, the larger wheelsize with the 4.5" tire gives a similar size contact patch.
