I enjoyed my meal here. The menu is uncomplicated yet diverse. I had the oxtail pasta and an appetizer of fried calamari and shrimp. The meal was tasty and satisfying for what one would want from an Italian cafe at this price point. The patio seating is a wonderful place to sit amongst flowers and greenery on a warm sunny day.

This is seriously the best little gem in Chicago. I usually avoid Italian restaurants, but wow has Bar Roma changed my mind. Everything I have tasted has been incredible. The ambience is perfect whether you sit at the bar or have a table. And the staff?!?!? Talk about the best staff ever. The hostesses are so kind and attentive. The wait staff is timely and attentive. The head chef, Fred, is an absolute delight. He actually walks around the restaurant to make sure everyone is enjoying the food. Who does that?!?!? Let alone on a Friday night! He is absolutely great. I also spoke to the manager and she was delightful as well. Overall A+ on all fronts. Especially the desserts. ❤️ Bar Roma has become my new Friday night dinner spot.

I have been to this place multiple times! Love everything in the menu, always sad when they change the menu but then I get to try something new equally delicious! Save space for dessert and order the tiramisu, you won't regret!

A pricey meal that's well worth the price. It was so delicious and the cocktails are phenomenal. Highly highly recommend coming by here for a nice date. Also the staff and ambiance was warm and welcoming.

Thank you for the question. Since the pandemic began, Bar Roma's number one priority has been the safety of our staff and patrons. Please note that we are currently operating as a Curbside and Delivery (through GrubHub) only business at this time. Some of the many practices we have in place include but are not limited to the following: -Our staff members are required to have their temperature taken upon arrival and face masks are worn at all times. -Only staff members are allowed to enter the building past the extended entry way - All food is prepared, packed, checked, and handed off with gloved hands. Per state guidelines, all of our packages are individually sealed. -When a guest or GrubHub driver arrives to collect their package they must be wearing a mask 100% of the time they are inside our establishment. They then must show us the name and collect the food from behind a partition. -Our restaurant is thoroughly cleaned daily which includes the use of UV sanitizing lights.
Certainly, we have option for vegan pasta and Risotto per your request.
