Do not recommend, unless you want to sit in the waiting room without being seen or acknowledged for over 2 hrs. I went in, advised the nurse at the door, I was sent by my Gastroenterologist, because I had pain following a colonoscopy I had the day prior, that wasnt supposed to be there. Explained what questions id already been asked, and what issues I'd had. She told me to do the covid test, and someone would see me whenever they could. I waited OVER two hours, before I said if wasn't worth my time. I obviously wasn't worth the time if the medical staff. I will never be returning, I thought Pittsfield Northern Light Hospital was bad, but atleast they see you in a timely manner and charge you for seeing a Dr. EMMC will likely still charge me even with never seeing anyone! Sad..don't recommend.

Gave birth at this hospital, WORST experience EVERRRR! I’m fairly certain that I was given Pitocin even though I was already nearly at the point of pushing naturally and requested that I was given NO medication whatsoever, I wanted a natural birth. I was quarantined to a room and not once helped to change nor clean up. The staff at this hospital called CPS on me not once not twice but three times. (Yes, it was all dropped and unfounded by child protective services very quickly) I requested a transfer to a different hospital and a patient advocate and was not allowed either. I was not given RhoGAM after my birth nor before I left the hospital. And for whatever reason my husbands name was not put on the birth certificate, I did get that fixed thankfully.. because he certainly signed it. When I confronted the hospital staff about why they called a child protective services on me their answer literally was because of some thing they saw on my Facebook.. and because I’m from out of state they thought I was on the run, because I didn’t want to vaccinate and because I had THC in my system..(which was suggested by my midwife in the state where I normally reside due to severe nausea) ANYONE A LAWYER?!

Great hospital! All the staff was friendly and professional. The hospital is clean and much of it seems newer. The food is good too. I had two babies here in the recent past and can’t say enough good things about the quality of care I and my baby received. The birthing rooms were lovely and maternity rooms very nice too and private. Both times I had my babies, all 4 of the rooms I occupied had a lovely view of the Penobscot. It was a wonderful setting to endure labor and those intense first 2 days after giving birth. The TV had a nice picture and a lot of channels to choose from. They have the best ice and very good drinking water. The bathrooms are well equipped and were perfectly clean when coming into the room. The nurses respond immediately to call button. The staff is constantly asking if they can bring you or get you anything to make you more comfortable. These things may all seem trivial to some readers but anyone who has had to stay days in a hospital knows they are important. I recommend this hospital and am happy to have it somewhat nearby

My wife went here for surgery. The surgical team was excellent in my opinion. They did exactly what they said they would do and we were feeling great. Then came the hospital admission post-OP. My wife barely received any care at all from the nurses. The poor CNAs were left to carry the brunt of the care. Finally, I spoke with someone in Patient Care who was so very helpful and got to work immediately correcting matters. My advice is to reach out to them as soon as you don't feel like you are getting the care you need or deserve. For a large hospital in the midst of a Covid crisis, I think they are doing as well as can be expected. It's important to be your own or your loved one's advocate. Update to this review: Again my wife had to have surgeries done here. It was a very good experience all around from the friendly people at the front desk to the caring nurses. I can see that the management is really trying to make this a good experience. Thank you all.

Depends on the location and how many hours you work. 300 - 500k/yr
Weight loss surgery has a lot of preparation and testing and if you already said you don't want it then the doctor won't want to go through everything that you you need to do just for you to say that you don't want the surgery. I suggest that you do the research and then make an informed decision.
You can call the main number, and they can put you straight through to the advocate.
I'm not sure about there but I know emmc in Bangor has a patient experance department that focus on the patients needs and complaints. I would call the main number in Waterville and ask if they have someone handling patient experience and if they do talk to them...i have never been there so this is just a best guess.
Only if the mother has put restrictions on visitors herself but there are sometimes temporary hospital wide visitor restrictions that occur mostly in flu season. Depending on the severity of the flu that season they can restrict young children, how meny visitors a time and/or anyone sick. We are about to get into flu season now so I always recommend calling the front desk and just asking if there are any hospital wide visitor restrictions in place before bringing young children or too meny people. Otherwise you just call in when you get to the 7th floor (there is a button on the wall by the door to call the nurses station) and they will ask who you are visiting and let you right in.
As long as she's over 18 yes.
It depends on the test; simple blood work, yes. But check with your provider if it is something else. Also COVID protocols are in place. Noone exposed, symptomatic, etc.
8:00am to 11:00am and 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
Riverside or Riverview
You have to go to the chinchette building in Brewer
I don't know who actually owns Northern Light, I can find out. But yes they do seem like they are buying smaller facilities everywhere.
It depends on where in the hospital the person you're visiting is! In the ER visiting hours wrap up at 8pm.
No they do not
Go to the hospital, maybe even call an ambulance. This is just a Google page. EMMC doesn't read this.
Yes, but they don't always strictly enforce them. They're pretty awesome here!
The switchboard(operator) is 973-7000. That should be able to connect you to any other number you need.
I honestly don't know. But we've gotten there at 8 AM and not left until 6 or 7 PM. So I'm not sure they're strictly enforced.
It just did the next one is in 3mths
Yes, on certain floors. Although I have seen young childern allowed in. I doesn't hurt to call and ask before showing up with a kid.
Call the pcp and ask for the appointment scheduler or the number for customer relation rep
If you call the hospital they can cannect you to the supervisor of the cafeteria
Behind the maine new main entrance and the Grant building
There are 2 separate patient floors on 6. In the grant tower we call that Grant 6 or G6 is respiratory and Oncology. In the Pavilion tower is called P6 or Pavilion 6 is the cardiac telemetry.
Paul, seems odd that you are discussing labor pain from a pregnancy. I am sure your wife/girlfriend/mate had a choice on the type of birth. Maybe next time she (or both of you) will make a different decision.
They are not an insurance provider except for employees.
