Love to go to that place, it is an open area and very wide. Nice people and pets.

Beautiful forest preserve just of Lake Street in Bloomingdale. This small but picturesque preserve features a small lake, with a paved loop trail which goes around it. Technically it is a stormwater management reservoir, a great example of creating a great natural area for wildlife and human recreation out of a necessary and useful hydrological solution. This forest preserve excels in accesability and amenities. The fully paved loop trail makes it a great option for wheelchairs or bikers, but great for running or walking as well. A full on bathroom building has flush toilets in a heated structure, a welcome addition for chilly winter outings. A large picnic shelter is a great spot to escape the sun in summer months. Ample parking and easy access right off lake street make this an easy preserve for a quick walk outside. Although the preserve is small, the native plantings and old oak perimeter makes it a great spot for birdwatching. Highly recommend stopping by Spring Creek Reservoir for a short respite from the business of life!

I like this place for all the views and the friendly locals. I was here the other day and I struck up a conversation with this dude who told me he was married and I was like ok. He was visiting the park because his wife had gone away for the weekend, apparently something business related. Anyway. We had a lovely conversation and we decided to meet up later to have a cup of coffee.
