Great park to get away from it all, you definitely feel like you're in the wild without traffic noise. I was able to here lots birds including an owl. The trails are mostly shaded, some are deep shade and definitely lots of mosquitoes. On trail is a paved multi use trail. There's remote primitive camping, an RV camping area with a sanitary dump station, cabins, and a tent area that is close to parking. There's several picnic tables and shelters with grills and public restrooms. There was also a portable restroom along the blue trail near the primitive camping and lookout tower. Two playgrounds, one large and one small. The boardwalks on the green trail are closed but you can walk along side of them with no problem. I will have to come back because I left a lot more to explore

Beautiful, easy hike! Our 1 year old and 3 year olds loved it. The weather was great today & there were accessible, clean bathrooms available.

Pretty awesome park. Just don't make the same mistake I did and think the only way here is down a long dirt road. You can get here with a paved road.... darn gps app routing.

There's several nice picnic shelters and a couple of awesome playgrounds.
Yes. I always felt safe there. The park employees and ranger goes around all the time.
Yeah it's free. Used to be $2 but they don't have the collector there anymore.
I looked up Florida Park rules here. It basically says as long as the pet is well behaved and on a leash by the camping unit. It's at FL State Parks dotorg under things to know, pet policy.
Bunk beds and ac. Tou have to supply the linens for yourself.
Yes. You'll have to walk a little while or drive to them. But they do have access to the showers
I don't think it costs anything
Yes
No atvs , bike and walking trails only..
Yes they just can't be used in the cabin or on the cabin porch
It has a few inside the park
There's a place you can carry canoe or kayak to put in but no boat ramp.
I wouldnt swim. I saw a big alligator at a river bank few weeks ago.
We took our dog with us about a month ago, just keep him on a leash.
Yes, there are tent sites, RV sites, and two cabins all available for rent.
The last time I was there, it was closed. There is a part of one of the trails that is very much like a boardwalk, though. It is a few feet off the ground (it is grassland that gets swampy) and around the height of the grass. For distance, 100 yards maybe. Caution was (probably still is) due to rotten boards.
I would think if u rent cabin it is free but u should call 📞 the park
I'm not sure but I'll call to see if they're camping areas are
I'll asked before I go should be no problem what if you're disabled

They are real and it's when the Indians came the the settlers camp and killed them. Google has the dates wrong but the history is right. If you Google the names you will find it.
No
Yes at some sites
Yes, two cabins and they're quite nice.
Yes. You can get them at Wal-Mart in the Outdoor section. I know a land license for saltwater is free for Florida Residents, but I'm unsure about freshwater.
The water is very clear. If you're used to fishing in tannic acid water you'll have to be much stealthier and use smaller more natural looking lures
