This is my favorite restaurant in Portland! The authentic German food at this unpretentious eatery is made fresh and in small batches by the owners, Otto and Anita. It is tasty, plentiful and reasonably priced. The service is always friendly and the food served promptly. It's getting harder all the time to find a restaurant that offers a multi-course meal for one price, i.e., bread & butter, entree + 2 fresh vegetables (spinach and carrots) a starch (spatzle or potatoes) on the lunch menu and the addition of soup or salad with some dinner choices. Not to be missed is the unusual dill pickle soup -- so creamy and delicious. Otto and Anita's is one of a kind: a cozy, quaint little gem which we love to introduce to both visitors and locals who have not been there before.

This place is special. Dining at Otto and Anita's feels like having dinner at the home of an old friend. The meal has a certain hearty quality that other restaurant food always seems to lack. The dishes are prepared with love and care, the pastries are incredible, the atmosphere is intimate, the whole experience is exceptionally charming. You don't want to miss this one.

A wonderful Barvarian restaurant that has been a landmark in Multnomah for years. The food is good hearty German fare served in a cozy atmosphere with friendly service. This is a great stop for lunch or dinner.

I used to eat here from time to time before I moved away and it was on the top of my list to visit while here for the month. I was NOT disappointed. Kaiserschnitzel and Dill Pickle Soup 🤤 😋 Then we grabbed some sweets on the way out the door for later 🍰
