The Smokehouse at Blackwater Falls

Dinner was awful. They must have cooked the pork chops and roast beef days ago and the reheat in the microwave or heat it on the grill. Veggies too soft and rice was barely warm. Don't eat their breakfast buffet. Eggs are stiff and rubbery. You need a saw to cut the sausage. The OJ is watered down. Not sure who runs this kitchen but they need replaced. I've never given a bad review like this before. Stay clear of this restaurant!!!

Had dinner here while staying at the lodge. Had the steak and it was very good. The staff also seems friendly.

Not badly priced. Decent portions. I did not get my coleslaw though or my fries. Not sure if they did a double order of onion rings or what. Make sure to check your takeout Got the pulled pork samich. Was good had a good sauce. Had a kick but was disappointed it had no smoke flavor. Not sure if they smoked it. Can't comment on coleslaw or fries because they didn't put them in there. Onion rings were good They have outdoor seating where you can see the blackwater falls There's a trail up by the lodge that takes you to a small falls

The restaurant is now open after being closed for over a year during lodge renovations. Since there are limited dining options during the middle of the week in this area, we were pleasantly surprised to find that they are now reopened.
