Overall, a horrible experience. Buyer be ware, terrible customer service and piss pore communication. Just because you sell and install equipment from the elite manufacturers, does not make you elite. First I encountered very poor packaging on my shipment, so much so that half of the order was lost in transit. I called Kevin (the owner) directly before accepting the package from UPS and he assured me that if I accepted the package it was fully insured and I had nothing to worry about. Well, after almost 2 months of his elusiveness I finally had the replacement parts in my hands. Now the fun starts! Kevin himself was aware of my exact model of Harley, and he put the “top of the line” package together for me that was supposed to fit my bike... Not even close! The first issue we ran into was the fact that there was no way to securely mount the tweeters that came with the nearly $2,000 set of speakers. When Kevin was contacted by the installer he claimed that there was no way he could be having the issue he was discribing. Kevin apparently then got with one of his installation technicians and was informed that the model of speakers had changed and they were simply securing the new style tweeters in place with silicone. The installer then called me and told me what he was informed and made sure I was okay with that before proceeding, which I jus shrugged my shoulder and said “...well, if that’s what they’re telling us to do...” The next issue we encountered was with the third amplifier that was incorporated in this system. This was sent along with strips of 3M Velcro, and we were told to attach it to the top of the head unit this way. Again, the same scenario transpired between the installer-dragonfly-me, with me simply shrugging my shoulders and accepting that dragonfly knows what they are doing. The final straw was when the Harley master technician, who also works with hog tunes on a daily basis, tried to install the outter fairing on my road glide, it made contact with the new speaker over an inch before contacting the inner fairing. Dragonfly was contacted about the situation and at this point Kevin is all but unreachable, but a new gentleman has taken over the phone named Kurt. Kurt tells me personally (so there is no “lost in translation here) that this is something that they have run into, and I may need to take an angle grinder and “clearance” the the magnet of the speaker. In laments terms, he is telling me to grind down the magnets of a $2,000 set of speakers so the fairing halves will mate! Well my mechanic refuses to do this, and I whole heartedly agree with him. Now Kevin gets back involved and says they never grind the magnets down, even though Kurt who claimed to be the head installer told me the opposite, and tells me to just get the outer fairing as close as possible and then pull the two pieces together with the mounting screws. Let’s be clear on this part, the inner and outer fairings are plastic. The screws are metal, and screw into plastic. So they are telling me to tighten a metal screw into plastic in order to make the outer fairing flex over the new speakers that are just too big for the application. Needless to say, I’m not risking damaging the fairing on a $30K+ motorcycle. So I ask for a refund because the set up I was sold didn’t fit as I was lead to believe. They first refused and sent me a set of speakers the had smaller magnets on them. That’s all well and good, but these speakers retail for $500+/- less than the ones I paid for yet they want to charge me the same price? Well, I don’t know if this speaks more for dragonfly, or UPS at this point but those speakers were lost in shipping. Now keep in mind, I didn’t want them to begin with but this was there possible solution to the problem. There is a whole side story to this, but this is getting incredibly lengthy as it is already. So after I contact my credit card company and get them involved I finally had to agree to 10% restocking fee and keep a portion of the system due to hard wiring and paint and I would return the items that didn’t fit.

Dealing with the crew at dragonfly has been nothing less than an excellent experience! I stopped into the shop while on a road trip from Arizona to Washington to look at some faring options for my husbands road king, Kevin welcomed me in with open arms and showed me a couple of options. He had mentioned that they were busy at the moment packing for the Laughlin river run so most of the displays were already loaded. I told him that was a bummer cause the one I liked wasn’t there. He called Alex in from the shop and asked him how accessible the particular faring was and he said no problem I can get it out. Kevin had some calls to make so he had his shop manager Kurt come in to demo the faring to me. After Alex getting it out and Kurt demonstrated all the options I was sold, I placed the order and paid the bill. I also had stated that my husband was not very mechanically inclined ( don’t tell him haha) and asked if there was anyone in my area that had done these before. Come to find out Kevin has two technicians that work with him in my area. Needless to say I finished my trip and about two weeks later my husbands gift arrived, I got ahold of james in Washington (great guy ) and he set up a time for us to do the install. Now we are cruising with great sound and my husband loves it cause he can’t hear me yelling at him to slow down anymore! We love dragonfly and will definitely be doing more business down the road! Sincerely Karen.

I have had Kevin and the crew at dragonfly cycle concepts work on a few bikes for me. The staff is knowledgeable and the audio components they use are of extremely high quality. The staff at dragonfly takes their time to ensure that their customers goals and budget are understood before trying to sell them something. Using you your goals and budget they will create a sound system for you that will have you enjoying your music for years to come. I would recommend Dragonfly Cycle Concept to anyone looking for a quality sound system on their bike.

I've now been in touch with dragonfly for over 3 years. Mainly I in the past dealt with Kevin but the last system I installed was Kurt's project for the most part. Let me tell you I couldn't be happier the attention to detail and customer service is second to none. Thank you for the most incredible system one could pretty much imagine on my 2008 Street Glide. And most recently my 2017 Dyna Low Rider S quarter Faring.
