Constant security issues with no support from management. I overheard a manager laugh when the cops told him that it was discovered that thieves were living in the janitor's closet with a tv in order to stay on the premises until nightfall to come out and steal mail and break into cars. We get designated spots given to us by management. One night I had a letter on my car threatening that it would get towed next time I parked in this person's spot. And that I was lucky they didn't tow It because they believe in 2nd chances? However it had been my spot for 6 months, it even showed on my contract. Bella must have given my spot away and was this close to towing my car in the middle of the night because of their own disorganization. Upon leaving, we left the place SPOTLESS and provided pictures. We spent all day cleaning it up and they still charged us our entire deposit and then some and they blamed it on janitorial expenses. We asked for the bill and proof of areas in the apartment that required this help and they didn't have anything, and said doesn't matter pay us. After going back and forth with no evidence on their part, we felt that we were being taken advantage of, and copied in the CEO and the Better Business Bureau. It was only at that point they dropped the charge. Don't let the pretty sights fool you, this place sucks and you'll pay for it.

Nice complex but UDR has terrible ethos and raised our rent over 15% to over $3000 per month for our humble 1bd apartment. This complex is exempt from AB 1482 and they can legally raise you as high as they want. Zero negotiation either. Basically fork it over or GTFO. Never missed a payment and have been nothing but fabulous tenants. These people are just plain greedy!

Would give this place a zero if possible. It is one of the dirtiest apartment complexes I have ever seen. The trash chutes are always overflowing. The halls are never cleaned and the parking garage is a disaster. Buyer be ware, that they are not upfront regarding fees and leasing arrangements. I had a one year lease and communicated to regional leasing, and local management three months before my lease ended that I intended to extend my lease for another few weeks. On various phone calls and emails they assured me it was ok and I completed the paperwork they requested. I sent my notice 15 days before the lease ended. They are now alleging that since I sent the notice before the lease ended I was obligate to pay another 60 days whereas if I had waited until the lease expired I would only have to pay 15 days. This is ridiculous and there is no one to talk to reason with. You get redirected constantly to voice mails and auto emails. Steer clear.

Update January 14th, 2018: Run. My family is officially fed up with living here. The company’s priority is not your well-being, comfort, or even security, but that at the end of the day they make money off you. If you’re looking for security in the place you live, look away, because we’ve now had 3 cars have their tires stolen. The first 2 were about 2 weeks ago and then I got to wake up to another this morning (01/14/18). See the pictures attached to this review to know exactly what you’re getting into. At this point, you may be thinking, “there’s no cameras there, and it is difficult to catch someone”, except where there are cameras they do nothing anyway. People constantly let their dogs piss and leave it behind in immediate view of the “security” cameras and nothing has ever been done. Rest assured that anything anyone does, camera or not, will not be taken care of. Your money is what matters, not your family’s security. So now we know there isn’t any security, yet this rat’s nest will tow car’s they don’t like for the most inconsistent reasons. They claim 4hr electric vehicle charging, yet night after night nice non-electric or electric cars are left in the electric-only spots untouched, but then when an unacceptable car is parked there, I’ll watch them get towed over and over. People leave their car in guest parking every weekend when home from work. Yet, I get married and leave for my honeymoon to come back to find my car towed. Thanks for the honeymoon gift. So when you’re given the gift a tower car, or stolen wheels, rest assured that the office will gladly tell you how sorry they are, and do nothing else. Original Post January 2017: I'm really torn on how to review the residences. On one hand, I love the trendy pool area and the fact that recently there have been a lot of free events for residents like cheese tastings, beer tasting, classy food tastings, BUT on the other hand I hate complaints that aren't taken seriously, like the door to the public that is always jammed open with wood chips, or the warm gym because the fans are never on, or the immense amount of car accidents because there's no speed bumps in the parking structure OR the fact that a two-resident apartment gets one parking spot (which you pay extra for) and one guest spot so good luck having friends over and not getting towed. If you're visiting here, be very careful with parking and not getting run over in the structure, if you're thinking of living here be very careful with parking and not getting run over in the structure.

ive locked myself out several (3) times, but have been pretty successful to get a hold of someone from the 24 hour maintenance line. its the quickest route, ive been unsuccessful trying to enter without them and the gentleman who unlocked me was reasonably quick to respond regardless of it being the middle of the night/early morning on every occasion. the hotline is 866-693-5764. not sure if a "locksmith" would be able to get in due to the fob/electrical entryway system however id be interested to know if a locksmith was less expensive than the $200 fee. hope this helps! -neighb
