Just a beautiful house in a style from the 1800's. The site over looks part of downtown Eugene. Interior is furnished with a large selection of period pieces. We'll worth a visit.

We had a private tea party. Staff was amazing, easy to work with and food and tea was top notch. Very fun day for daughter and friends.

Super fun, Loved the History, it was very informative. There were about 6 Wild turkeys outside enjoying the lovely grounds . Has a spectacular view facing South encompassing the landscape view of Eugene Downtown. 🤔A bit of a sad note : Inside Needs pest control... Live Critters, stink bugs, flies and spiders in the windows, and the lace curtains were dirty, rods hanging off hinges with its curtains, in Grandmas bedroom of all places!😁. Over all, a great visit. This home had to be spectacular in its hay day, and WOW even has modern toiletry facilitation. Terrific.

No. However as in any place you visit, you can sense the historical energy of its previous owners and their families. It's interesting and mystical.
Hello Onilda! Thank you for your question. We are asked this a lot. There is a general assumption that all Victorian's are haunted... probably because a lot of paranormal movies feature them. We do not believe SMJ House to be haunted.
No, it's more of an historical house museum.
There is no dress code, however some of the events have a theme. In those cases many participants enjoy dressing to the theme.

Hello Chris, we will be happy to let your therapy dog into the house. Thank you for asking.
