this “resort” absolutely sucked. as soon as we approached the outside area is a dump and the floors are covered in trash. Elevator smelled like cigarettes and not worth the price at all. My parents paid $1000+ and it was not worth it AT ALL. When we entered the room it had a mildewy smell and room was in horrible condition. Stains on the sheets (there was a blood stain on one of them) and stains all over the ceiling and walls. I’m trying to stay positive as I could have stayed home but I’m actually concerned to sleep in here. receptionists were very rude and seemed annoyed. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at it needs to be shut down !!!!

Truly right on the beach with easy access. 2 basic pools, 2 hot tubs, a mini simple lazy river and a itty bitty 1 foot deep pool so the little kids can still play. Rooms are set up like a efficacy apartment. You enter directly into the bedroom. From there you walk into the kitchen with the bathroom to the side. After the kitchen you go into the living room which has a table & Murphy bed. There was a small private balcony. From talking to others, the first few floors couldn't see over the palm trees to see the ocean. Our room was higher and we had a great view. If you are up to walking, all the tourist shops, sky wheel, and a bunch of restaurants are all in walking distance (maybe 10 blocks?) We had disabled people with us so we just drove down to some of the public parking spots down farther and paid to park for a few hours. There is a wooden sidewalk right outside the building that goes all the way down to the sand. Only complaint would be that the shower was very slick. Next time we will plan to bring a mat for traction in there.

The housekeeper on the first shift was extremely rude and had a nasty attitude. I asked her could we have towels/washcloths. It was second morning there. She became Irate showing me some paper screaming not my room not my room. Ok so she cleaned rooms on both sides of us even down the hall but not ours. She slammed the paper down mumbling to herself. We left the trash and towels outside the room at 7:30 A.M we came back at 1:00 still there, we finally got towels after calling around 6:00pm, the floors especially bathroom very filthy red mud and dirt everywhere one of the bathroom lights not working. Very musty odors in room. We stayed 3 days and my last nite there woke up with 6 bites on me. What the heck, will never stay at this awful place again. Love Myrtle Beach but this was ridiculous. I usually leave a tip for the housekeepers but not this place!!!

What is there to like? Small, dirty rooms that likely haven't been renovated in decades. Stains on the sheets, hair in the bathroom, old green carpet as the flooring. There's not a single thing you can like about this hotel. I'd genuinely rather sleep in my car than pay what I did to stay at this "hotel". Besides the disgusting & outdated rooms/floor/elevator/hallway/lobby, you'd at least expect the staff to treat you great. Of course, that's not the case here at Boardwalk. Me & my girlfriend go to check out to get our $200 security deposit back, the man at the front desk tells us to sit & wait for the housekeepers to go check our room to make sure everything was ok. We wait for about 10 minutes, he then calls us over & tells us there was a mess in the room & that he can't give us our deposit back. The only "mess" were some water bottles & seltzers on the desk/floor (maybe 5-6 total) & the shampoo & conditioner in the bathroom that I had to buy because this hotel doesn't already offer that (what a surprise!). I told him security deposits are made for damages, such as a hole in the wall. Some trash on the floor has nothing to do with damages. He said that it was "costly for the housekeepers to be cleaning up all day", & that WE had to go clean it ourselves in order to get the deposit back. Me & my girlfriend went back to the room to go clean it since apparently this hotel doesn't have housekeepers. It took us LESS THAN A MINUTE to clean the "mess" we had in our room. Absolute scam of a "hotel" & the most disgusting place I've ever had to sleep. Would never come back & I’m telling everyone I know how horrible this stay was.

Oh my! That's horrible! I hope they made everything right for you! That's awful that that happened to you. I hope it doesn't hinder the rest of your vacation...
Lobby is very nice, very helpful staff. They had computers in lobby for guest use.
yes
They told me the main building has been renovated. Unfortunately, I did not get to see it. I believe there is a North/South tower that has not made it through renovation at the time I was there. I would not recommend any other building other than the main building at this time.
