Every time I visit Foot Solutions of Tigard I have a great experience. They measure my feet each time and listen to what I am looking for. They then show me some options that may work for me. It is hard to find shoes for my big feet and they are always helpful. Thank you

I am very happy that I was able to find an orthopedic shoe store that has great selection of orthopedic shoes; and, more importantly, very knowledgeable and experienced staff. They went beyond and above to ensure that I was taken care of, found the right fit for me. Additionally, they make periodic follow-ups with me to make sure that the insoles they made for me are working properly. I am very happy with Foot Solutions Tigard and highly recommend it.

Questions & Answers

I know today is a Sunday, in which you guys are closed, but in case I forget to call on Tuesday, do you guys do inserts for kid sized feet? I'm a very small adult, and have a hard time finding inserts (much less shoes) that fit me.

My Doctor tells me that I have Plantar Fasciitis. What can I do about it?

Foot Solutions Tigard | Aug 19, 2020
Foot Solutions Tigard | Aug 19, 2020

Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammation of the plantar fascia, a broad band of fibrous tissue that runs along the bottom surface of the foot, attaching at the bottom on the heel bone and extending to the forefoot. With Plantar Fasciitis, the bottom of your foot usually hurts near the inside of the foot where the heel and arch meet. The pain is often most acute the first thing in the morning and/or after prolonged rest. The key for the proper treatment of Plantar Fasciitis is determining what is causing the excessive stretching of the plantar fascia. The most common cause is over-pronation, which is when the arch collapses under the weight of each step you take. Every time your foot strikes the ground, the plantar fascia is stretched. You can reduce the strain and stress by wearing shoes and orthotics that support your arch to prevent over-stretching of the plantar fascia. Two tips for dealing with plantar fasciitis: First, Eliminate barefoot steps. If you have heel pain, the fewer unsupported steps you take, the better off you will be. For many of our clients, this simple act has a tremendous impact! Second, an arch support appropriate for your foot type is often the most effective way to reduce the arch collapse and allow the condition to mend.
