Nice little hiking area that makes you forget you’re in the city! Very, very muddy in the winter, plus a stream crossing if you start at the trail head. Wear hiking boots or rubber boots! And know that your dogs will leave muddy! :)

Jewel of a natural area with a pleasant stream running through it. Some steep parts of trails, but well maintained stream crossing.

Beautiful peaceful spot in North Seattle to hike and get away from motorized vehicles.

The city is allowing encampments to destroy the habitat where millions of $$ and countless volunteer hours were spent restoring it and the waters it flows into. For shame!

Questions & Answers

Are there any natural.areas in Seattle that are wheelchair accessible?

Many. This would not be one, however. Only the area near the bridge is accessible. Carkeek has several trails through the woods that are well-graded.
