I've brought my dog to ABC Vet Pacific Beach 4 or 5 times now for various reasons and each time the staff have all been so friendly and patient with my anxious/undersocialized dog. Rates are reasonable/about average, but they don't try to push unnecessary expenses either. I'm very selective when it comes to any sort of care for my dog but they've earned my trust and I'll be bringing her here as long as I live in San Diego!

We had come across ABC Veterinary Hospital during our search for a vet that certifies dogs for travel abroad. Doctor Margaret Christiansen and her staff were absolutely amazing in helping us obtain the proper paper work in timely manner. The young lady at the front desk was extremely knowledgable and well versed in the complexity of flying with a dog to Europe. She had been a life safer from the moment she picked the phone till the time of pointing me to the nearest FedEx office in PB. Doctor Christiansen herself was a very pleasant and gentle lady. Actually, everyone at the office made us feel welcome and was super helpful. The cost of this certification was the cost of a visit plus a USDA filing fee, together all under $150; other vets in San Diego quoted us $700. The certification process is not for the faint of heart as it involves filling out sheets of paper work, having a registered vet certify the information, overnighting it to USDA, and other pleasures. This veterinary hospital made it a pleasant event and our family is forever thankful to them for that.
