My husband and I rented a 23 ft Sea Hunt center console for three days over Labor Day weekend. We had an absolute great time!!! I highly recommend this company. The crew there was full of knowledge and suggestions, and they were very friendly. I had originally rented a smaller bay boat but after telling them we planned on going to Alligator Reef they suggested the bigger boat and they were dead on. The first two days the winds were 12-15 MPH. It was rough on the Sea Hunt. I don't think we would have made it with the smaller bay boat. The last day we were there, the winds were at 3 mph and the reef was spectacular. We had the best time snorkeling all around the reef. We did everything we set out to do... Caught lobster (there is learning curve to this), fished past the reef, snorkeled beautiful reefs, saw sea turtles, sharks, a manatee while looking for lobster, caught a snook, an African pompano and a tarpon. Also.. Boating in the keys is very different than where we are from (NW Florida). The water is shallow. They have a very good information video that explained exactly how to manage the waterways down there and sent us out with a well marked map to get us to all the reefs. We will be back and hope to bring our family!!!

Great!! Well maintained boats, great staff, reasonable prices - highly recommended. The boats are outfitted with GPS chart-plotters, they also provide a laminated paper chart with helpful notes on it, and the staff is knowledgeable about the local waterways. Great experience, and I look forward to returning. Thanks!

We have visited A1A every trip to Islamorada through many years and locations. Awesome staff. Great location for reefs and sandbar. Flexible with inclement weather.. Very friendly. Reliable equipment. Highly reccommend.

They have one pontoon, and yeah the sandbar is close enough, not sure how much
I do not see the option on the website so I suggest calling and asking. My son and I had a great time on the 2hr tour. Will be back again this May for another trip!

Hello thanks for contacting us, Yes you do need a License as Florida Law states below If you do not meet these requirements, then you would have to take a boaters safety test online at the FWC website or onsite with us that we provide when you arrive. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 who operates a vessel powered by 10 horsepower or more must pass an approved boater safety course and have in his/her possession a photo ID and a boating safety education identification card issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. For information on obtaining a boater’s safety card. Renter must have a valid driver's license and be at least 21 years old. (18 years old or older to rent Wave-runners or kayaks). Note: if a parent signs for and supervises the child, we are OK with as young as 16 for Waverunners. Renter must sign a legal and binding contract and abide by all terms of said agreement thus must be at least 21 years old. Thank you have a great day
