The white front desk manager is extremely rude, condescending and immature. In response to a request for a ground floor room facing the inner courtyard his response was "You dont get to choose your room." He acted like the hotel was super popular and fully booked and was super condescending with no hospitality and customer service skills. You are in the hospitality business your job is to be hospitable and fulfill the needs and wants of your guests as best as you can because that is how the business works. There is a reason resorts and hotels are classified under Tourism and Hospitality. Obviously this ignorant and condescending manager is oblivious to that fact and has no idea how to run a hotel.

Positive: There was a microwave and fridge and the TV remote worked. The shower/tub size wasn't too small, and the water pressure was good. The heat/AC worked well. It was quiet. Negative: The carpet was very thin and didn't feel thoroughly clean. The vending area was messy and too dark at night.

Good hotel to stay in if you don’t want to pay big rates. Located about 12 miles outside of DC. About a 40-45 minute Metro ride into DC. Metro station is only a 10 minute walk away. Rooms could be updated a little. Nice breakfast buffet in the morning. Currently not doing daily housekeeping during pandemic but understandable. Free parking but need a permit which you will get at check in time. Only issue I had was a person yelling and being loud at 2am. Had to call the Police in order for him to be quiet. Eventually he did get quiet. Easy access to local restaurants, shopping centers and freeways. I’ve stayed here every time I’ve been in DC. When and if I return to the area, more than likely will stay here again!!

Apparently in Virginia you can still smoke in hotel rooms. Even the none smoking rooms smell like cigarette smoke. Don't take anything out of your suitcase because it will smell. But there were no bed bugs and the carpet was only a little gross. But you better hope a smoker doesn't accidentally start a fire. Because the map on the back of your room door showing you how to evacuate just shoes you where your hotel room door is. And assuming you are reading the sign, you know where the door is.
