At the recommendation of my parents (who have had a number of watches repaired here), we took my husband’s circa 1980 Rolex here on Saturday because it had stopped working and we expected it was time for an overhaul. They took it in the back and returned a few mins later to tell us that 3 screws holding the rotor in place had fallen completely out and if we gave him a few mins to put them back and test it, that’s probably all it needed. This sounded too good to be true but a few mins later he returned with a perfectly working Rolex and didn’t even charge us for fixing it. At some point the watch will need an overhaul and we will definitely be bringing it here. Honestly they could have easily told us yes, it’s in fact in need of an overhaul, collected our $400+ bucks and we wouldn’t have known differently. This shop has a level of integrity that seems rare these days and they have earned themselves new customers! I inherited a grandmother clock that needs work to bring it back to life…I’ll definitely be bringing it here!

UPDATE: Brought the watch back and they buffed out the scratches. It looks better now. Mistakes happen; I just wish they disclosed the damage up front. ORIGINAL REVIEW: My Lucien Piccard watch (Swiss quartz movement) needed a new battery. My wife brought it to Alabaster's today so the job would be done professionally. Imagine my surprise when she handed it back to me at home and I found the case back was all gouged up. Thank goodness it wasn't a luxury watch like a Rolex, although it still has significant sentimental value! To top it off, they handed it back to my wife without mentioning the damage.

Michael at Alabaster Watch serviced my Seiko PADImas and he did an job regulating it and and fixing the bezel so it lines up perfectly! I also take my Omega and Tudor here as well.
