Staybridge Suites Allentown West, an IHG Hotel

I have stayed here before and never really any complaints. Room is always comfortable, mattresses and pillows are great. Breakfast was good, if not a large selection. Pool was very nice and warm, and always enjoy it. Only Con's would be the stairwell by the pool, the carpeting is in very poor condition and needs replaced and in the hallway by the fitness center, there is a funny musty smell, almost like a wet dog. Other than that, a great weekend.

Positive: Staff at the front desk was nice and understanding. He sent someone right away when I complained that the mattress protector had a big yellow stain. Negative: breakfast: young lady in charge not proactive and not service oriented: at 9:10, items are missing and she has no intention to replace them unless someone is ready to wait 20 minutes. Ran out of milk on a Sunday morning at 10?!!

We traveled for the purpose of burying my mother and father who died 3 weeks apart. Needless to say, it was a very emotionally trying time for us. We requested early check in, and I received a call as soon as the room was ready, which was a tremendous help. The staff at the front desk were so friendly and accommodating. I immediately loved the feel of the king suite we booked, and it smelled fresh and clean. All the dishes glassware and silverware were in the dishwasher and still warm when we got there, which spoke volumes to me concerning the cleanliness criteria of Staybridge. The entire facility was clean, well appointed, and very quiet. The pantry was exceedingly well stocked with everything we could think of during our stay. The bed was very comfortable and we never heard a peep from any other guests. While it was not an enjoyable weekend the stay at Staybridge Allentown West was perfect in every way.

Over all I would give a 3.5 star rating. The front counter staff were wonderful! Very kind, polite, and professional. The room was also great. My only complaints would be I had trouble finding parking sometimes and I experience very poor room cleanings which as great as everything else was makes me reluctant to really give them a 4 star rating or better. But like I titled the review minus the poor room cleanings the experience was amazing.
