Wonderful hostess! She shared lots of details and history of the actors, sets, and area. Very informative and worth the drive. Which by the way doesn't get much better than riding through the Blue Ridge Mountains in fall.

If you don't know who the Waltons are, (like our 30 year old daughter), then you could not possibly understand or appreciate how much their family show meant to my generation, and my parents generation. They taught us the importance of family, faith and hard work. AHHHHH, the good ole' days.

Great little museum if you like Walton's mountain this is a must. Lot's of history of show. Sets are identical to show, great to see it all. Friendly helpful staff, has a bonus military collection that was also amazing. Highly recommend
