Small place but holds a lot of history.

Peaceful little museum with great history throughout the years of war. Excellent photo ops with family or friends.

Truly awesome experience coming and checking out arizona’s Papago army military Museum ! It’s free to get in but do leave donations to keep it going . This museum is in such a unique place as far as history goes, dated back to World War II . I really enjoyed all of the displays here it’s definitely worth a visit!

Visited in January and though a little difficult to locate, it was interesting enough once we did. FREE (they do accept small donations), not huge, but definitely worth the visit. Getting a close look at the vehicles/helicopter was very cool.

Yes, you will need an ID. It doesn't have to be a military ID though. A driver's license or other official ID is fine.
My son said the tank is outside the Museum . You can ask the men that work there about how to see it. There is a helicopter that you can sit in from the Vietnam era and a jeep. It's a very thoughtful and well laid out Museum. Make sure you check out the POW camp for German navy soldiers held on the very property the Museum is on. There was even an escape made... don't worry, they were all recaptured!
They are located on a active military base. So yes, I would call ahead and ask if you can bring the item in question.
Cash donations when you first walk in or there is usually someone in the office who can answer questions and provide contact names.
