Red Sauce Pizza

This is NOT gourmet pizza. Maybe gourmet dough? The pizza I got was overcooked burnt with minimal toppings. Maybe 2 pepperonis per slice and barely any sauce and cheese. Ridiculously priced for what you get. :-/ They added an automatic 20% tip to the order. There is no real service provided, other than paying the cashier and then waiting outside, standing by the stop sign on a hot summer day. The cashier didn't seem that friendly despite that required tip. Hot lips Pizza is close by an a way better choice. I'm highly disappointed of Red Sauce Pizza :-( We will not be returning!

They accommodated a large group fine and had the pizzas all ready ahead of time. It was real good food, very nice to see some vegan options on the menu that actually tasted like they care. Only thing. Plan ahead to use the one indoor bathroom.

I love the pizza at Red Sauce! The Fern, the Hot Nancy, and the Margherita are all delicious. And try the chocolate chip cookies too, they're awesome. Sometimes it's hard to get through on the phone to place an order, but hang in there and redial a few times - it's well worth it!

We've been going to red sauce since it opened on 42nd. Owner and staff are great. Pizza quite good (though better value at pizza jerk by far.) 3 star review for mandatory tip policy. I wouldn't mind a 20% increase in price to support the crew. But adding it as a mandatory tip to every takeout order just seems weird. Edit: removed the word new from "new mandatory tip policy" as the owner mentioned it's not new.
