If you need to access the family matter window and you come upon a grimincing receptionist named SANDY...run for the door!! Sandy is very angry and hates the world kind of person. Very very difficult to even have a conversation with. Only on her terms. EVERYONE but Sandy( and she's the only Sandy in the buldg because she told me so) (and I mean this ) has been nothing but professional and curtious

The staff here are plenty well enough civil and respectable people. But for some strange reason every time I go here they take all my hard earned money.

My suggestion would be to call the clerk of courts. They can direct you about paperwork that would need to be filed first to start the process. The other option is to talk to an attorney. They can do all the work for you and know what needs to be done. There are free legal services in the Lewiston/Auburn area. They could answer your questions about the process and maybe file the paperwork for you at no charge.
