We got our two tuxedo kitties Mittens will be 2 in July and Moxie is 12 weeks today. We sure love them. They are both little love bugs who like to be held and rocked. Very relaxed and play well together. Only took 2 days for them to fall in love! Best thing that’s happened to us! They bring so much joy in our lives! Thank you for the perfect kitties

I had my cat neutered. The kennel was clean and and the cats were happy. The dogs were happy also not much barking. The cost of the neuter was in-expensive.

Adopted a beautiful puppy yesterday. Have to be patient with the process as there were a lot of people in line. But we'll worth it!

We came in today 4/2/2022 and adopted Hazel a 9 month old cat. Hazel loves it in our new home and is slowly getting used to all the noises of our 1880’s home. We all love her so much. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable. We will be back in a few weeks for a dog.

How do I make an appointment for two kittens about 8 months old. To be fixed
They do offer vouchers to get those done. There are only 2 vet offices that will accept the vouchers. I highly recommend Lisbon Road Animal Hospital. They're great!
Give them a call.
Most of their animals never seem to make it to the web site. Been several times, peeked into the secured area, seen dogs, dogs never on web site, and always adopted out when we go back looking for them.
Yes they are

Please expect an email back after submitting your application. http://www.gahumane.org/volunteerapplication
Terriers often have a robust temperment, so I would think about size matching. Think about how big your pup is, go with something that will match him in size when they mature.
They are usually updated frequently
I would take him to the animal shelter.
They list their animals on their website. Visit the shelter and you'll be able to visit with the animals ❤️
Yes from sunrise to sunset

Call them & ask.
Yes I got a voucher for 55.00 but it only works with 2 vets one in Topsham and one in Gray
Looking for a small 25 lbs or less schnauzer type dog.
Iam not sure. But if you called them they might know better than me
Pet co by Kohl’s in auburn does 12 dollars for my dog
Ok, call them or go on their website. See what dogs are available, check Craigslist, Uncle Henry's, and join some Facebook marketplace groups.
I used to work as a BHP in Lewiston. I've gone in with one of my clients asking about volunteering. He was 10. I believe you have to be 12 years old to actually volunteer. They are however ALWAYS looking for people to go over and interact/play with a kitten or cat. In the cat "playroom." And 11 years old is totally fine 😊
You would be better off going in or calling
You can get a voucher to get your cat fixed for free from GAHS. The vet who is doing the spay or neutering will charge $9 for rabies vaccination
Depends on age kittens are about 200 older are cheaper
The humane society might be able to help with that it's based on income I believe. There is also a vet on center st in Auburn Dr Kinney I believe is how it's spelled that's where I bring my animals and their prices aren't to bad it was 80 for my dog to get all his first shots and fixed
Not sure, but I don't think so..
I think so
I don't know. I'd like to know the answer to that myself. Anyone know?
Not sure, give them a call
Definitely call or stop in. Not all the adoptable pets are online.
Have you tried for care credit??
Call them
http://www.gahumane.org/pets-adoption/dogs They are posted on the website.
I don't know. You have to call them
I don't believe they offer this service. You can call to find out, and I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.
On the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month they give out some cat food and litter. 9-11
Contact Hannah Berube at GAHS in regards to an application & the process of fostering. GAHS welcomes new foster applicants for adult cats, mother & kittens, kittens, puppies, & adult dogs. Kitten season is right around the corner.
Give them a call. I'm sure they would accept anything you donate.
I'd give them a call in the morning
Depends if you want a kitten or adult sometimes you can get the older ones at no cost.
It would be best if you called and spoke to someone. Maybe it would be possible for you to make that request, but they may not be able to guaratee it.
Not sure but I would try to call them the problem is this year fleas are very very abundant one thing I've heard is denatured earth food-grade sticker on the cat and around the whole entire area and let it sit it will kill fleas
I don't know how to do that on line because I don't know what to do with them and I learning as I go
When they have them yes they do.. if not it's something like 55 bucks
For a male $25 for a voucher. Or they’ll be given free at the clinic on 7/25. If he’s in one of our towns. the clinic will be in Auburn. Check their Facebook for the details.
Leave it alone. Watch nature take it's course.
Her name is Shiloh she is 4 she is a big girl not fat but long legs she weights is 100lb ....foster for now not sure if her owner will be going home we are hopeful though
They have many different animals going through their doors. I would suggest going in and checking. Hope this helps!
I suggest you call the humane society and tell them your story. They have Humane right in their name. I bet they can give you options to turn things around... best of luck. Remember... Cats rule! Dogs drool!
They do, yes. Not sure about the time though. You should give them a call for sure though. They're very knowledgeable and always willing to help.
I got vouchers through the pit bull program, they're very helpful. Give them a call. Even if they can't provide that exact assistance, they have a wealth of knowledge regarding available resources.
I volunteer there an can honestly say its best if u go in an look
They bite anything living that they come in contact with according to web md and pet md.
It depends on several things but dont just go by price. Go in an see the dogs, Take him/her for a walk. Dogs bark when u first go in but that does NOT mean that they are mean or violent like some think. Some have been abused and or neglected. Try to be understanding an not judgemental, Just offering some advice
They do it at the vets. I would not want to try it myself.
Im a Volunteer there, been there almost 2 years. They do have spay an neuter vouchers at the front desk, For $10 bucks I believe. U can call them if u need more info, We open at noon. Its best to just stop in to be honest as the staff are usually very busy. Congrats on rescuing your new furever family member 👍😊
You can bring the dog right to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. They can scan the dog for a microchip and hopefully reunite the dog with its family.
The shelter is always looking for volunteers for a variety of things. I think you just need to call and they can work it out with you.
Keep checking a lot of times they get over crowded and they're free
The info should be online or call and ask
If he tries to bite, stick your finger in the dogs mouth and push down firmly on the tongue. The feeling will be unnatural and they will try to spit out your hand. Keep doing it, and they will learn not try to bite.
