I can't say enough positive things about Dr Nadia Shaukat and the entire staff at the ER on July 6th. Not only was it by far the best ER experience I've ever had, but ALL of the staff were super friendly comforting, professional and they worked as a team. Idk who their supervisor is, but I recommend you take notice of the incredible team you have. They definitely deserve a 5 star plus rating and review. ER service just doesn't get any better than that.

ERs aren't a place you go to have a good time. And certainly not a place you expect to be impressed. After CMMC ER refused to do anything effective after 9.5 hrs with rude staff, we sought treatment at St. Mary's. All the staff we interacted with was professional and compassionate. We also saw staff being very patient, professional, and compassionate with a difficult and mentally unwell patient. Shoutout to our nurse Randi. We were admitted in under and hour, they quickly diagnosed a life-threatening ailment, and gave potentially life-saving treatment in under 2 hours with a doctor (Collins) who listened and had 10x the bedside manner of the ER doc at CMMC, DeVries. He was swift without being rushed or negligent and we are grateful for his professional service and care. We are not only satisfied with the treatment, but truly impressed and grateful. This will be our hospital for the rest of our lives. Thank you for everything. Especially you, Randi. <3

Several issues 1st I brought a cancer patient into the er. After getting her in a wheelchair I pushed her in the entry way and tried to park, all handicap spaces were taken and some by non handicap vehicles. I had to park in the lower lot by sabattus st and Walk up to the er entrance. So the patient I brought in sat in the entry way for a good 15 minutes. 2nd after getting into the er which was packed, with that being said and the COVID precautions that are in effect there was no way to keep 6 ft apart so we sat there for 45 minutes waiting for triage in a packed waiting room full of sick people and germs with a cancer patient after triage it was back to the waiting room. Not exactly the best place for someone vulnerable to infection. 3rd I am totally applaud at the fact that there is no ballet parking, that you would make someone sit in a wheelchair for over 15 minutes in the entrance way and not ask if assistance is needed. And then have her sit in a packed waiting room with possible COVID positive patients for over an hour .

I called the emergency room to see roughly how long the wait time would be, as I needed to admit my mom. She was extremely sick and needed to be seen. I understand it’s a hospital and they are busy, but the woman that answered the phone was so rude and cut me off while I was trying to explain my situation. She cut me off by saying she cannot give out the wait time, which is understandable, but she was so nasty about it and belittled me. She had the audacity to hang up on me. I can’t imagine being a healthcare worker and treating people that way, especially during times like these. St. Mary’s is a joke and always has been and I was wrong for even trying to call them to give them another chance. Now is the time to have a little compassion for people and simply be kind. Health care workers, of all people, should know this.

It depends on how many people are ahead of you. Sometimes it can be 10 minutes up to about half hour, 45 minutes. Although I love this hospital and the staff, if you can get to your regular doctor, do it. The price for E.R. is crazy
