Portland Breakwater, AKA “Bug Light” is only 25’ high. Originally built with wood in 1855, It is now constructed of cast iron plates. Just minutes from Portland airport, the lighthouse and adjacent park offer a great way to relax and unwind. Walk the breaker and park grounds, fly a kite, play frisbee or simply sit and take in the views.

Very relaxing and quiet. Nice to visit on a really hot day to feel the breeze. If you can catch the sunrise or sunset it’s really nice.

Nice views and cool spot to relax and reflect. Ample of parking. Walk around the bug light if you can. There are a few benches around.
