So excited to have found this market yesterday…i had no idea it was there! the vendors were high quality & the location lovely & less crowds & less a$$holes than the eugene sat market 🙄 i was especially excited to find a booth with organic oaxacan green fresh made tortillas & quessadillas! She has regular yellow corn tortillas you can buy a pack or a quesadilla meal too. There were plant people and farm people with fresh greens (yay garlic scapes!) and meat people and honey people and an AMAZING soap booth…omg..natural so lovely soaps There was some really awesome arts and jewelry and clay work and wood work & leather work & faerie wings 🧚🏽‍♂️ & clothes… o& a gluten free bakery booth with decadent pastries! (&bread) it’s so nice to be able to buy pastries i can eat (no wheat) the chocolate Croissant was too delish & had almond flour… I couldn’t resist eating it, even though I had already had the very sugary lemon something donut with icing, lemon curd and candied lemon peel on top….Good thing the macaroons were sold out by the time I got back to the booth 😏 apparently the market matches up to $20 ebt with $20 fresh produce bucks for ppl with ebt

The Whitaker Community Market is the most fun you can have on a Sunday in Eugene! There are food, craft, clothing booths! Yoga instruction in the morning & then local singer/song writers playing lovely music in the afternoon! Go! You will love it!

Wow. This market truly exudes "community" in the full sense of the word. If want a break from the bustle of the Saturday market, with still local produce, some good bites and interesting artisan, the WCM is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

What are the Covid safety practices like here?

Thanks for your question! When we open in May for the season, all of our vendors, volunteer, and staff will follow the Covid-19 safety protocols for farmer’s markets as recommended by the Oregon Governor’s Office, the CDC, Oregon Farmers Market Association and the Farmer’s Market Coalition. Our open air market layout allows for physical distancing and vendor booths are spaced 10 feet apart. Our vendor practices and short supply chains allow for higher sanitation levels than are achieved in most stores. Additionally, there are two hand-washing stations on site during the market day. Our #1 requirement for everyone within the market footprint is to wear a mask or face covering. If you are unable to wear a mask or face covering, let a staff member at the Info Booth at the entrance of the market know, and we will shop for you. You can learn more on our website at https://www.whiteakercommunitymarket.com/events

Is the market going to open soon? I would like a place when you open.

Vendors should arrive between 9 and 10:30. They need to have reserved a booth on line first. The market is open from 11 to 4

Does anyone know how much it costs?
