Started to fill up my car, then attendant yelled at me because I was not supposed to fill my car myself. Said could have put up a sign and the jerks response was “it is common law here”!! Guess never heard of people from other parts of the country

No. Costco gas is also closed the same holidays as the store. They stay open 1 hour after the store's closing time on non-holidays.
Use the app or Google maps. Google maps, just type in gas and it will tell you the prices of almost every place including costco
