Worst customer service. Extremely rude lady with glasses. Literally not willing to explain or go even slightly above the call of duty. If you arent sure how something is supposed to work for paperwork. I was literally told to "go talk to a different town" when I pay taxes to cover her worthless salary. If you hate your job so much....find something else to do, dont take it out on people trying to follow the "rules" and give the town money.

New Gloucester is a wonderful little town to live in, 30 minutes from Portland and 20 minutes from Lewiston/Auburn. The people are friendly, the scenery is beautiful, and there is no place I would rather live. People who complain on here about the public beach being closed on Sabbathday Lake need to understand that in addition to being private property, this situation was exacerbated by disgusting people who would leave their trash on the beach, tarnishing an absolutely beautiful setting. These people ruined it for all of us, so you can blame it on them.

Not a good town for kids. Town took the only free public beach so they can get high taxes by calling a subdivision water front access. SHAME ON THEM
