Visited MoonShadow while on vacation and the grandparents watched our infant, so we had an opportunity to have our first date together in over a year. My wife and I got an early reservation at 5:30 PM and there were only a few groups there when we arrived. We sat outdoors and appreciated the spacing of the seating, and noticed some nice large grassy spaces where kids were playing while waiting for their meals. We immediately ordered everything when our waitress first arrived. The beer selection was decent and we both loved our beers. Unfortunately, our food took forever to come out. The deviled eggs were excellent, the filet mignon was slightly overcooked, the Salmon was good but not great. Overall we enjoyed the ambiance, the food was good but came out slowly, and the service was not great.

We came late on a Sunday night, and staff was on top of their game! Two of the four of us had multiple and complicated specific food requests that our server took care of expertly. The menu is delicious and a bit eclectic.

House-made food with options for everybody (fish, meat, GOOD vegetarian options, food for picky kids). Don’t sleep on the cocktails — they’re creative, well-balanced, and tasty. The pork-belly deviled eggs are a treat. Hand-cut fries. Try the buffalo cauliflower. The kids got chicken fingers that were so good the adults stole a few. The rosemary chicken was a winner — really tender and flavorful. Cozy taverny vibe. We’ll be back, and often. It looks like they have live music and nice outdoor seating for when the weather is a little nicer than it was for us.

Almost gave it 2 stars due to the quality of the food. My bacon, on the BLT, was severely undercooked, the bun on the chicken sandwich was doughy and the chicken was very bland for being “jerk” seasoned. The meatloaf was tasty - you can see the peas are frozen. The bacon jam and fries were the best things we had. The venue is a unique; with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. They could use some background music outside though….Lastly, we took a chance on walking-in since they were booked with reservations all weekend.

I believe so.

When are you going to hire servers that that even remotely know what they are doing? Worst service I have ever had!

I think it's relatively difficult to respond to a very generic statement regarding service concerns - but I have eaten there countless times and have not had bad service.
