Loved it! We were there a few years ago when it was a B&B and it still has the same charm. Place is huge . We went with 8 other couples and never left the entire weekend. Great fire pit , hot tub and calm and relaxing living room! The only thing I would change is some new mattresses and toilets (they are very low to the ground). We also loved the commercial kitchen and ice maker. Fun,peaceful weekend was had by all!

Was very nice and had plenty of room for our annual family vacation. The large commons room was great for the kids. Commercial kitchen was great for large family meals. Wish the walk to the lake was not so far. Service was excellent to get when requested. Prompt and courteous.

We stayed here for a long summer weekend many years ago and had a wonderful time. Most of the other guests were 40-somethings like us and we all clicked very well and had delightful evenings playing pool and enjoying the perpetually stocked beer and wine fridge. We just stayed for a long winter weekend and had a different but no less delightful time. Most of the other guests were in their 20s this time. All were very friendly, but we had the recreation room to ourselves most evenings, which was fun. The innkeeper Mary is awesome, as were all of the staff that we encountered. Very attentive. They upgraded the complementary beverage selection to include craft beer, in addition to mass-produced beer, red wine, white wine, and delicious port that is added in the evening. The breakfasts are gourmet and are out of this world. The entire facility is amazingly well maintained and comfortable, and the history of the building and grounds is very interesting. They provide all sorts of recreational equipment, from boats in the warm weather, to cross country skis and snow shoes for winter. We had a fantastic time snow shoeing. Thanks to Mary for an amazing 4 days, we can't wait to return!

My boyfriend and I took a trip to the inn to get a break from city life. Mary the innkeeper was welcoming and genuine. We were given a tour of the inn, and recommendations for sightseeing and dining. We went to a great seafood restaurant called Dutch’s, and Mountain State Brewery, a great local brewpub. We spent our first evening relaxing in the common room enjoying complimentary wine before making s’mores at the bonfire outside. The inn provided us with all the essentials for biking, fishing and canoeing and made for an afternoon of fun activities around the lake. Coming back to our cozy and intimate bedroom with a view of the woods was exactly what we were looking for after an action-filled day. The gourmet breakfasts, served in the quaint breakfast room each morning, were exceptional! Loved the crepes and strawberry hotcakes. The staff was super helpful and the place was kept very clean. My boyfriend and I had a peaceful, special, lakeside vacation, and left feeling like family. We’ll be back!

You should contact the rental agent to ask your question. I think it is Railey Vacations. The property was a bed and breakfast until the beginning of summer. The grounds are a good place to walk around. You can also walk to the state park from there, but the discovery center is closed to around the first of the year, but the aviary is open.
