If you're looking for a great place to take the kids in Encinitas, California, you'll want to check out Olympus Park. This playground is a great spot for kids of all ages, and there's plenty to keep everyone entertained. The main play structure is perfect for climbing and sliding, and there are also plenty of swings for everyone to enjoy. The park is well-maintained and there's plenty of green space to run around in. Olympus Park is a great place to spend an afternoon with the family. There's something for everyone to enjoy, and it's a great way to get some fresh air and exercise. The park is also conveniently located, so it's easy to get to. If you're looking for a great place to take the kids in Encinitas, California, Olympus Park is the perfect spot.

Olympus Park is so new that Google maps still shows it as a grassy hill. Because it is so new, it is also extremely clean. They had city workers pressure washing all sidewalks the whole 3 hours we were there. I was so grateful for this because I forgot to put shoes on Henry before we left 🤦🏻‍♀️ My son had a blast here! He had so many different types of swings to choose from. He bounced between the tandem swings, the zip line swing, and the tire swing a million times and he slid down the grass hill and concrete slides over and over. There was plenty of cardboard to go around to go down the grass hill and designated waste stations to dispose it. These hills are very steep and kids under 2 will likely need assistance on most play equipment at this park. The small benches and picnic tables that are the most perfect size for little ones are so cute! I wish you could find these at every park! Be aware that you will find large crowds here. We came early on a weekday morning and it was already busy and it only got busier as the day went on. 📍On the corner of Olympus St & Piraeus St, Encinitas, CA 92024 🚙Free parking on street Olympus St but it is extremely limited!!! There is 1 ADA space at the top of the hill on Olympus St 💰This park is free 🎠The play structures are built on a rubber/mulch ground surface. There are 2 tandem bucket swings at the top of the hill. 🚽NO restrooms 🧺Multiple picnic tables under pavilions 🪑Park benches at playground 🖼Lawn at the top of the hill 🌟Clean grounds 🐶Small fenced-in turf dog park 🛣Far from busy roads 🏘The upper playground is tucked into a quiet beautiful neighborhood 🚲Paved path around the lawn on the upper portion of the park that would be perfect for small bikes, scooters, roller blades 🛹Skate park 🏀Basketball court

The BEST park I’ve seen in recent years. The playground is amazing. It offers various options for kids to enjoy. The skatepark has two small bowls so that kids can learn new tricks easily. Did I forget to mention they also have a half basketball court and a dog park?

The park is really fun and progressive with some cool features like the grass sliding hill, long tube slide, zip line, skate bowls and more. Minus a star for accessibility. Who builds a park with no parking? Clearly the neighbors are grumpy about it, putting up their own signs, etc. I received my first parking ticket in over a decade ($53), after thinking I had found a legal spot. Thanks City of Encinitas! Meanwhile Alga Norte Park near my house in Carlsbad (which many of your kids use), has a massive parking lot and invites all.

Questions & Answers

Couldn’t locate a public restroom at Olympus Park. Did I simply just miss it or is there really no restroom facilities? If this is the case how does a city not provide this necessity?

We love this playground but unfortunately there is no public restroom at this location. Before we leave the house we make sure we use the facilities otherwise we go to Starbucks on the other side of the 5 freeway.

Is the grass area large enough or flat enough to play soccer with my kids? Looking for a space to do some soccer training and the park looks awesome!

There's a top area above the slides with a flat grass area. Not big enough for games, but definitely enough room to run around and kick the ball and do drills. Just don't forget your sheet of cardboard!
