I went to the Community Resource Center to make a donation because I want to support their mission of helping women who have experienced domestic violence, but it turns out that they only accept donations Wednesday through Saturday, and limited hours at that. I really wanted to support them with some high quality items, but since it was Sunday, I had to take everything I had loaded into my car to the Goodwill just down the road. Disappointed!

love this place. It's smallish, but has all the departments and lots of inventory turns. new treasures everyday. super helpful staff. items are priced to move, even if not a lot of high end stuff. I wonder what happens to all the higher end donations?

The majority of the men's clothes and shoes are in poor shape and sadly overpriced. Most clothes just hang on the racks for months because of this. With that said...some good finds every once in a while. The staff is very friendly and pleasant. On my last visit I came across these old shoes with NO laces for $15.... If you have the time also go check out the Community resale store in Cardiff next to VG's donuts. Wide variety of nice items and friendly staff as well.

I like this thrift store, it's where I drop off our donated items. So easy, usually always someone to help unload in the back parking lot. Large selection of clothes, some household items as well.

They are looking for volunteers, please talk with the manager on duty and Thank you for choosing CRC!
If call and ask them Most days they do while open but lately they have had limited drop offs
They don't pick up mattresses. However, I can saw an ad in the San Diego Union Tribune for a group who does (most thrift stores do not sell them). Try calling them or looking at the last few days paper - library may have them too.
They take clothes, kitchen stuff, dishes, toys, tools, and small appliances and furniture items. They don't have room for large pieces of furniture and appliances.
The Encinitas Library used to have a dropoff bin for old batteries. You might check there.
