I’ve lived here for over 3 years and love the location and amenities. The management however has really gone downhill. They have a hard time communicating efficiently and tending to issues that are actually important. They’re worried about painting the buildings to a boring color but don’t seem to care about my termite nest with chewed up wood and termite droppings. They’ve started to enforce silly rules regarding how we park in our parking spots and what can be on our balconies but every time it rains, I’m left with only a few inches of dry walkway for weeks. Now that they’re raising rent as much as they can for all renewals, I think it’s time to shop around

An all over great experience! Broastone Coronnado on the bay has been an amazing place to live and has given us a real home feeling for our first year coming to live to San Diego, giving the same experience as when I used to live in Coronado as a kid.

Cross posted on yelp, but wanted to be sure all the google users see it as well! We will have lived at the Broadstone for 8 months by the time we leave. We have loved every second of it!! The apartments are nicely updated with an open floor plan. We loved our pool view! Most days it felt like we lived at a resort. The grounds are very well maintained as well as the common areas. Every morning you can see the staff cleaning and scrubbing the grill and pool areas. All of the staff are extremely friendly, to include maintenance personnel. There is an app for trouble calls and even when I have listed it as routine/non urgent, they come to my door the same day! I have been really impressed with how well maintained and how well run it is for how large of a complex it is. You can’t beat the location either! Steps away from the Ferry Landing, restaurants, restaurants , doctors offices, you name it. We are so sad to go, but we hope to be back one day!!

I've been here for a little less than a month. So far, so good. The close proximity to the ferry landing and NAS North Island is awesome. I'll do a follow up review in a few months. UPDATE: The honeymoon with Broadstone lasted about 3 months. I couldn't get out of there soon enough when my lease was finally up. Lots of the so called "amenities" always seemed have some sort of issue: The fire pits rarely worked, the hot tubs had issues more often than not, most of the BBQ grills would not fire up, the pool and basketball courts were a neighborhood hangout for the kids, and the hallway carpets/common areas were usually filthy. It got to the point where I’d be embarrassed to have guests come to visit because something wasn't working as it should when my guests would be in town. The biggest issue I had with this place was utility billing. This was a total nightmare to say the least. Billing is administered by a company called "Conservice". There was not one month where my power usage made any sense. It was not uncommon to have the electric portion of my bill be in the hundreds of dollars - even in the dead of winter. We went to the office a couple of times to have it looked at, only to be told "We'll look into it and get back to you" - which they never did. I have since received my SDG&E electric bill at my new place (which has the same appliances, is larger AND has central A/C) and was pleasantly surprised to see that my energy usage is roughly 1/4 (basing it off of total kwh usage) of what it was at Broadstone. But then again, I am now dealing directly with SDG&E instead of some company called "CON-service". Water shut offs were common - Sometimes you’d get a warning, sometimes you wouldn’t. Sometimes you’d have hot water, sometimes you wouldn’t. My apartment always had that “musty, moldy” smell, even though we almost always kept our windows open as we were on the 3rd floor. The advertised A/C consisted of a small, noisy window unit in the living room, which was pretty much useless in the bedroom, especially in the summer. Broadstone was built in 1971. I get that there will occasionally be some maintenance issues with an older place, but when you’re paying top dollar to live on Coronado you'd expect things to work. But in this case you'd be wrong. Avoid at all costs!
