Ordered a Death by Sushi, Kaarage, and a Kenzo rolls, along with a few drinks. This is hands down one of the best sushi places I have had the opportunity to dine in. The fish was fresh and refreshing and the restaurant has bold flavors that have you wanting to come back for more. This restaurant is easily my top contender in Portland and I'm excited to come back during my next trip.

Atmosphere is set to impress. We came here for our son's birthday on a Sunday night. Staff is friendly. Service is off though. We ordered gyoza, calimari and karaage for appetizers. As the server walked away we thought it odd the karaage had no sauce whatsoever. Tried catching someone's eye but we were hungry. When she finally came back we asked about sauce and she haughtily told us well there's lemons (thin sliced not wedges which couldn't really be squeezed) and we have several sauces and if people want them they ask...ummm first time (and last) so how would we know the fried chicken came dry. Warning calimari comes wet in a spicy sauce with peppers. Kenzo roll while flavorful was like popping pudding textured seafood inside seaweed. Not a texture I want to experience again. Nemo roll lacked flavor. It mentioned ponzu sauce but came dry. Waited another 15 minutes or so to get attention to request ponzu. My husband then sat another 30 minutes after our sushi to receive his kimchi rice and ramen. We asked if they forgot his order and the waiter offered to cancel, yeah we'd all like to eat tonight. If someone's meal is going to be served with such a gap, I would expect a pre-order warning. The piece de resistance was really the 1:30am wake up call....with multiple offerings to the porcelain gods. Nope we will not return. Nearly $200 meal, and not the weight loss plan I'm looking for ...

The sushi was good here, I wouldn’t say it was exceptional, but good. One was unnecessarily fancy, what my friend from Japan called “American sushi”. The drinks were pretty tasty. The appetizers were hit and miss. The dumplings were good, however the crispy mackerel was more burnt than crispy. The worst part, the wait for food. It was middle of the week & wasn’t full, but sushi took about 35-40min to come out, then the other two small items took WELL OVER an hour.

I've been coming here for the past 2 years around this time. All I can say it's a great place for Date night! We came during the snow storm and sat by the window, the atmosphere made it super romantic. The food were very fresh and plated really well. The Japanista Roll is very unique to this place, the sear tuna and sweet chili sauce, and hana sauce combination was never something I have tasted before, kinda fresh and lemony for a sushi! They also had the Otoroo that day too, which was fresh, fatty, and melted in your mouth . Highly recommended if you ever want to try, it's a bit speedy though. I would definitely go back here!

You can make reservations online through their website or Google. They do have a happy hour, but unsure of the time. If you have a spare $15, you have to try the Cheek of the blue fin tuna. Soooo good.
