For the location and the price it is a great place to stay if you're looking for a room under $100. It is great air conditioning and heating.

I use to enjoy comeing to this motel.. "but the past few times i decided to rent a room for a day/night, or maybe if i am haveing a lucky month, couple/few nights is a absolute blessing"...but back to the point of why i give the vacancy a -0 star rateing,the past 3 times i decided i was going to call and ask if they have a room available, man anser phone tells me that he has rooms available and i am welcome to come rent a room,but see then i walk from where every i happened to be located at the time,to find out there is no more rooms available because the last room has become occupied by men from work.but then i was told the guys travel from where ever to come work in mount vernon,ok thats great and all but...i kinda felt that i was being told that the past 3 times i called and was told yes i was welcome to come rent a room to simply be denied the room simply because i am a "homeless and dont have a job"...but "believe it or not" i do have a job and that was simply the reason i enjoyed nights i was blessed to get a safe warm place to sleep at the harcourt motel because where i work isnt a far bike ride way...so for lack of good customer care i gave them a " 0 star rateing"

The rooms were ok. Nothing special. They don't allow pets even in 90° weather. They will go into your room when you aren't there. Wifi is spotty if usable at all. Not really worth the $60 a night. Spend a little bit more and go somewhere else.

I am actually very impressed. This is certainly an old motel that has seen better times. BUT our room is clean, new carpet, bed decent with good mattress. Not a speck of dust anywhere! New flat screen TV with cable, WiFi. New microwave and fridge with freezer. We brought our own coffee maker. Don't expect designer soap and shampoo, just bring your own stuff. We came to bicycle and the motel is right by the park! Harcourt Motel is our new favorite place to stay in Mt. Vernon!
