I set up an appointment to fix my drier two weeks ago. Today, the tech canceled it 4 hours after the latest arrival time - and their answer was to have me wait another two weeks for a grand total of a month waiting for their service. Wasted my time, should have gone local. 0/10 would not recommend for any appliance service since they don't show.

Scheduled a dishwasher repair for a month out: on that day repairman said he could order the part and and come back in 3 weeks if I paid up front with a check (about $450). He couldn't take cash or card (as advertised on the sears website). He got mad and left (understandable as he had 4 stops and 200 miles to get to that day) but not before "approving" the service request I had to turn down . I ended up receiving a bill for appliance services for $149, and I ended up fixing it myself for $70. Impossible to get a human, local or otherwise, on the phone to discuss. TLDR: Sears appliance repair is woefully understaffed and overworked and do not have the tools they need (i.e. card reader) to perform the job.

the tech was great, nothing against him personally but this is the 3rd time i have had to take time off work to meet with a tech to fix my fridge and one time the tech called out of work sick and the other 2 times, Sears sent out techs that were not qualified to perform the work on my refrigerator after promising me, after the first time that they would 100% send me out a qualified technician. they did not. so once again I had to miss a full days work for nothing.

We have mixed reviews of our recent service. The initial visit was top-notch and easily 5 stars. Our technician, Joe was informative and friendly. Additional repairs were needed however and the next visit two technicians arrived. They were friendly and worked quickly to complete the two items needed. However, my son witnessed them replacing a panel in the back of the fridge without removing an obvious build-up of dust on the equipment under the panel. He heard them mention 'only a certain amount of time per call' and assumed they weren't allowed time to finish. My son is 12 and took it upon himself to pull out the fridge again, remove the panel, vacuum the dust, replace the panel and push the fridge back in place. The two technicians also had to remove all the items from our freezer to make one of the repairs. We got them coolers to place the items in. They left without replacing the items. Not a big deal, but should they have replaced the contents?
