I love BBB and it's my main shop for home goods (and Soda Stream refills). I love that I can use my $5 and 20% off coupons forever -- even though it says they expire, the company actually lets you use them forever -- so literally you can get 20% off of anything -- I save them and use one for every item I buy there. Since the Studio City is now the only BBB in my area, I have to go there as BBB has closed a number of locations like so many retailers (not really their fault with Amazon). I went to the Ventura Blvd. BBB this past week and it looked very different. It was very spacious and actually looked more upscale -- which may sound good -- but I found that their prices seemed quite a bit higher to go with it. But of course, that may be from the inflation that we've gotten over the last 18 months.... I was looking for blackout curtains and they had very limited sizing and colors. Same with rugs -- I wanted one for my bedroom. I also wanted to get two My Pillows which friends recommended, but they said they no longer carry them, so that was disappointing. I still love BBB, but I think their prevous merchandising was better, where you shop around and things are just a little bit crowded but you find these surprising and delightful gadgets that do a thing that makes you say WOW, this is too cool -- then you buy it -- and never use it. But nevertheless it's fun. Their spacious merchandizing now reminds me of a Beverly Hills clothing shop where you walk in and you see space between the blouses and dresses hanging on the rack: You know you're paying for that extra space for each blouse and for the feeling that you're more exclusive as well, and for that benefit instead of it being a $35 top, you're paying $350 -- Sure, it's a better quality and all threads are hidden in the seams both inside and out, but most of the extra $$ is for its bigger parking space on the rack where only a few of them hang. I don't want my kitchen gadgets to be that way! I want them stacked on top of each other with their cousin gadgets right close beside them... I don't want to pay for them to be displayed with more space. However... maybe it's the supply chain and they don't have stuff -- in which case, I'd say they're doing great. SUMMARY: If you want a little more upscale BBB, go here! If you like to get gadgets, they still have some.... Rugs, drapes, and so on... well... take your coupons and hope for luck on them having your colors and sizes... I still love BBB... maybe it's the inflation and supply chain problem that forced them to re-think their merchandising and raise their prices... but it was just a tad discouraging. I still bought some things though.

Best place to get your Soda Stream refills. And we love the 20% off coupons.

I love coming to this store in Ventura. Everything here is organized and the staff is very attentive and helpful. My bf and I came to buy a coffee maker and a furniture for the office. They do need a bit more furniture in the store. Other than that, we were happy with the purchase.

The store carries mainly household related items and carries one or 2 items of kid accessories. It's best to check out their website and see what your trying to look for and can even call the store to see if they have anything on hand and most of their inventory is online. You'll have better luck finding kid accessories through their online page vs in store.
Of course they're getting ready to close many stores but I think studio city is gonna stay open. You can look online but I always think it's best to go into the store and get an application. Call living 1st to make sure that's what they want you to do. They must need seasonal workers a must they've already hired but I'd give it a try stay optimistic.
Hi Tracy, I doubt it but every store is different. Best to call ahead.
I've purchased them there before. Always safest to call first.
Applied online and received one in the mail today. Have also received the current product leaflet.
Yes, they sell those school bags with thermos
