Disappointed at first but now Satisfied! After posting this review I was contacted by the service supervisor at Quality Subaru. He explained that he had a chance to relook at my case history and was very apologetic for what happened and asked for an opportunity to resolve the situation to my satisfaction. After carefully thinking through his offer I accepted it. I was provided a loaner after it was explained that it could take some time to diagnose this issue as it was not a common issue. It did take a few days to resolve the issue but I was kept up to date on a regular basis and the loaner was provided for the entire duration. At the end of the day I am very satisfied with the outcome. It was a bit of an unfortunate experience but I can accept the fact that mistakes are made. The response from Jonathan was very professional as he took accountability and was very sincere in his apology. I am very happy to say I will continue to be a customer of Quality Subaru which is great because for the past 5 years I've been a very satisfied customer. Also it’s highly likely that my daughter will become a new customer . ------- I had my car serviced at Quality Subaru (QS) on 7/22. I had a safety concern with my Subaru Legacy 15. As I explained to QS during a past service visit - I am able to bring my car to a full stop (garage, driveway, or parking lot) and if I forget to put the car in Park, I am able to remove the key from the ignition freely and there are no visual or audio warnings. This is a serious safety concern as I've had my car ‘roll’ on me after I exited the car. Once in a parking lot where the car rolled into the side of the building. It was believed to be an issue in the ignition switch ‘area’ which seemed reasonable to me. It’s worth pointing out that I had a remote starter installed at QS. As I'm getting ready to give this car to my 16 year old daughter I wanted to have this safety issue fixed. I called Quality Subaru to make an appointment and they informed me I needed to pay in advance for the part needed for the repair which I did while scheduling the service visit. When I picked my car up around 5pm after paying for my own Uber back to quality I went in and paid for the ‘repair’. The charge for labor was $458. I got my car from the parking lot and immediately checked to see if the issue was resolved. I tried a couple times in the matter of 2 mins and realized nothing was different. I was still able to freely remove the key from the ignition while the car was in Drive and there were no audio or visual warnings. I never got a call Monday morning. I called back at noon and spoke with the supervisor who I spoke with when I picked up the car on Friday. He basically told me that he spoke with the foreman and they did the work I requested and if I wanted this safety issue addressed it would need to be brought back in and properly diagnosed. There was never an apology and I didn't sense any empathy. Also I asked about the money I paid for the work that didn’t address the issue I am having - and was basically told there wasn’t much they could do about that. First off I was rather shocked to hear that ‘they did the work I requested.’ What I requested was that they repair the safety issue I was having. I am not a mechanic and would never tell a repair shop what is needed to repair and issue or concern. Moreover why would a service department with certified and qualified technicians simply do what a customer asks - especially for a safety concern! - without properly diagnosing the issue themselves. Needless to say, I do not plan on being a Quality Subaru customer any longer. I still need my vehicle repaired and I will look for a dealer with the utmost integrity, quality, and customer satisfaction. I respectively ask that Quality Subaru put the ‘quality’ back into their brand for the benefit and safety of their loyal customers.

I ended up going with a different vehicle but had a great experience with Tony and Steven for a test drive and helping to find a car from allocation. If I were to get a Subaru in the future, these are the guys and the dealer I would go with

Recently, I have visited Quality Subaru searching for a car replacement. I worked with Steve Canada II, who did a fantastic job reviewing the vehicle I wished to test drive. Steve went over every single safety feature of the car. No question surprised him. He knew the car inside and out. Shopping for a car can be a very stressful experience. Steve will make it easy for you and you will not need to read the expansive manual. You will leave familiar with the car's features and ready to enjoy your new ride. Highly recommend.

In regards to our Covid safety protocols, the response below is inaccurate. We follow all CDC & CT state guidelines in regards to masks, social distancing & hand-washing. We have 12 signs throughout our dealership clearly stating masks are mandatory for the safety of our customers & employees. Our website, social media & outbound customer collateral all include details on our dealerships’ efforts to safely serve our customers. In fact, we find this comment interesting considering this person was asked to leave for NOT wearing a mask & refusing to do so. During his aggressive tirade, he was asked multiple times to maintain 6ft distance & to please put his face mask on while in the dealership. Our employee is now concerned for her health as the customer was in very close proximity to her face while yelling at her. Not only are we concerned for her health, but also for her safety as this customer was out of control & such actions will not be tolerated by management at Quality Subaru.
If you push in the clutch and you hear that noise it's definitely a throwout bearing. Hopefully they gave you a warranty. They were very good when I bought my car there and I would think they would work with you.
